  1. We keep teams scoring down using team defence with no passengers. See where l am going with this ?
  2. Gary who?
  3. the old oscar came out towards the end ... was in slow mo ... maybe a rest will help ... good post
  4. exactly. to me our game plan looks the same as last year ... output is also similar .. high inside 50 contested ball stats poor conversion
  5. We have given away to much in those trades re picks no doubt. Not so fussed about. the money side of it. Everyone wants a quality forward but they aren't on the market often. Lynch was always going to richmond. Hogan had to go back after what he had been through. We had a crack at Elliot as did others but he is no silver bullet anyway
  6. salem might be. lucky to keep his spot. Nev needs to come back unless there is a reason not to. Brown will be back
  7. Thanks mate, just took a look. That's a step forward of sorts but from what you can see it was bruise free even in the context of match simulation.
  8. Waiting for Bennell to successfully complete practice matches/simulation work now that training can be up to 20. Until then he is still a high risk of re-injury and hasn't progresses any further than when he was a Freo trying to get back
  9. You are right no one has said they don't have sympathy but equally no one has said they do. To suggest we need to know the victims name and other details to do so makes no sense at all. I expressed sympathy earlier quite easily. https://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/opinion/susie-obrien/susie-obrien-dean-laidleys-alleged-victim-also-needs-support/news-story/4dc3c70a264f1e63ee54506dc9f69ab5
  10. The point l am making is that this tread is totally unbalanced. Perhaps count the number of posts that talk about the main victims? None or very few at best. l will reserve most of my sympathy for them. To have an avo out means the issue has been ongoing
  11. Let's not forget he is accused of stalking and breaking an avo (so forgetting his dress sense which while unusual isn't the first person to do so) there are other more significant victims
  12. There is a chance some players will withdraw of their own accord if they have young kids, expecting kids or family to care for.
  13. Agree there is not much to lose and plenty to gain in PR remembering he was a star in to hell and back
  14. Not expensive at all, he is on minimum wage. I don't expect him to last once the lists are culled.
  15. I don't wavy to be telling people AFLX was our last premiership for too much longer
  16. he is no fuss, knows how to play his role, with years of footy to come, and has fitted in perfectly. a steal at for the picks we gave up
  17. didn't appear to achieve a whole lot in his time at mfc and wouldn't want him back again but having a mfc supporters voice on the mcc board is probably a positive
  18. No player is truly on the edge of a return until they have done match practice or played vfl. can't see him holding up under those conditions to be honest but will be rapt if he does. his hiring is starting to feel more like a PR exercise than anything else
  19. There might not be a next year as there is no garantee all clubs will survive especially those getting annual afl / mcc hand outs ... when assets get devalued as is happening now, banks come calling to recoup debt ... mfc need to do everything they can now and in the next few years ... suspect they will be calling on only wealthy supporters to help initially ... without income mfc staff will also lose jobs
  20. Clubs would know already what is happening and all signs are they are getting ready to play. I'm sure the AFL want to roll out a more comprehensive plan and hence are taking a little more time ... including some positive news on ways for members and supporters can watch the games
  21. The MVP is heavily influenced by how good the player is, whether they play are more specialised positron, the quality of their replacement in that position, and how well the team can adapt to cover for them. For those reasons, quality talks and forwards tend to be MVP's. The wing is also an important role for us to fill as we found out last year. Tmac, May, Gawn, Oliver, Melk in that order. Langdon, Fritch, Viney (if uninjured) may emerge as mvp contenders as the year goes on
  22. He has the great leadership skills to go with his communication skills. However, is it just me or does he come across as being a touch happy with himself which might be perceived as not being as selfless as others.
  23. Hibberd is the one we have probably forgotten. Booming kick with penetration. Hopefully we see a lot more of it this season
  24. Appreciate the overzealous official was out of line but hardly a third world problem
