Disappointing opening term, stared to get on top towards the end but a few costly mistakes have us only 1 goal up when Casey had a strong wind advantage. Keilty the only one good in defence, others have made costly mistakes. AVB, Tyson and Kent lively. Wasted a few forward entries that quarter.
-
Pedo bad turnover and Dogs score 13 - Casey 19 not making use of this wind
-
Vanders bulls through the pack out to Baker who kicks truly from 45 on the boundary
-
Footscray play well in the wind but are winning the inside game atm
-
Sammy a nice mark 20 out but misses
-
Casey with the wind in the opening term and the first goal to Munro from 50m out, a great roost
-
Nah he’s playing
-
Very strong breeze to the southern end. Footscray also usually play in Windy conditions but this should suite Casey very nicely.

Yeah mate Casey Radio are covering the game today. https://www.3ser.org.au/ Just arrived in Cranbourne, beautiful sunny day but a decent wind with a bit of chill to it.

I think Casey's VFL listed should be able to step up, even guys who have been in and out like Lok, Gent, Collis can all add somehting. And especially since there's still Senior spots up for grabs the AFL Listed guys are going to want to come out and dominate so I'm still fairly certain we can feed off of today's win and get it done over Footscray. AVB is a beast, Tyson, Wagner, Kent, Bugg and McKenna can all hit another level, Keilty has been up on form and will want to push hard for a Debut, as will Baker. Petty and Pedo are playing well, as are Weids and Bull, and with the Dog's Ruck woes, Flipper and King might be able to add something. Should be a decent hit out, excited to see AVB dominate and see if Keilty can really push his chances.

I believe he is out with some quad soreness and Balic will be out with illness (a cold). Given the Stretch & J.Smith injuries Casey will be a few men down. However being the Sunday game the carryovers from the AFL will play so it’ll still be a strong lineup especially given some decent VFL talent.

Innacurate but a great win. Listening to the players interview afterwards the ball was as slippery as a wet game so you can excuse some of the misses but still bad. Otherwise it was an awesome response from a poor month.

Casey Demons v North Melbourne VFL - Round 14

Just an update on Keilty, his head was fine he actually got pulled out with symptoms of hypothermia. At half time he took off all his wet gear but went blue and couldn’t stop shaking so they put him in the shower and wrapped him up, goes to show what horrible conditions it was to play in today. -
Casey Demons v North Melbourne VFL - Round 14

He came from Tasmania where he played in a few premierships and won 1 B&F in the state league before coming across to Casey this year to get more exposure to AFL talent. He is a gun, usually an inside mid with superb skills and touch but has been moved to the backline with the AFL listed boys taking the midfield spots but is still playing really well. Wouldnt be surprised to see him rookie drafted. Don’t think it will be Melbourne as his primary skill set is an inside player and we have plenty of those. -

Little bit of silver lining was it was only very minor, but given the conditions and the fact the Key Talls were never going to be super important (although I thought Pedo was very good ) they decided to just wrap him up and put him in the showers early like they did with McKenna. He'll be all good for next week. -

Keilty copped a slight head knock at the end of the 2nd quarter. As a precaution more then anything he won’t play the rest of the game. In these conditions it didn’t really suite the KPPs anyway. -

Tyson, Hannan, Bugg and JKH been good around the contest. Thought Balic and the Wagner’s looked dangerous on the outside. Petty, Pedo, Keilty and Lockhart doing well in defence. We’ll have the wind this quarter so hopefully we’ll see some more goals. -

This is a big game for the boys. Norths 2nd's have been in pretty poor form in their inaugural VFL season after finishing their alignment with Werribee, although Pruess has been dominating the ruck, leading all in Hit-Outs and HOs-to-Advantage, should be a good test for King and Flipper. There's still plenty of spots in the Senior side up for grabs and in particular the boys who have been dropped recently are going to want to put on a big display. Petty will want to make-up for his disastrous debut. Vince, Bull, Tyson and Weideman will all want back into the AFL side asap. Keilty, Baker and Balic are getting closer to a debut and Pedo, Wagner, Bugg, Kent and JKH are going to have to play well. Great to see AVB and McKenna back from long injuries, very interested into seeing how they play. With such a strong line-up, at home, with a large number of the boys wanting to be playing Seniors, Casey should come out flying and dominate the day. I will obviously be keeping a very close eye on Keilty to see if he continues his great form, especially with Frost out of the side he will be the Number 1 lockdown defender.- 192 replies

From a personal perspective pretty disappointed Dec didn’t get in this week, at least he is an emergency though. I understand why the chose who they did, hopefully it’s s good game. -
Yeah he is, and a real good one at that. Has had a couple of media mentions this week and we think it's a real possibility. I've been trying to keep my excitement down until we know for sure.
