  1. Can't they just get this stuff right for once!!
  2. I was in, couldn't get the bloody site to recognise my bar codes for 5 mins (because apparently it only wanted 1, not all 4). Had my tickets selected (I was going to have to pay for 2 x adults and 2 x children, despite a family pass which would have covered all 4 being available for $60 cheaper, but it wouldn't let me select it). Was just about to confirm my selection and the site rimmed out on me. Have been in the que again for the past 40mins, without sucess. Ticketek make easy money from this stuff - they need to do much better. Sooo furious right now.
  3. @Demonland Andy would have to be up there yeah?
  4. Who needs a girlfriend when you can have a bromance like this. Whenever I see Jacko with his team mates and the way they all talk about each other, I actually find it hard to fathom that he hasn't or won't just sign up already.
  5. The ones who should really be embarrassed by this are the TV networks who cottened onto Harry, blew it up into some huge incident and then wouldn't let it go. There wasn't really any public interest angle they 'had to know about' in this incident, just a bunch of nosey comentators desperately trying to make a story out of something which happed on field. Max and others were quite obviously playing a very straight bat to it post game despite the all the media prying. In the end, I think Harry may well have feel embarrassed about this incident, but as a result of the OTT media circus around it, not any actions on his behalf. Great job Fox and Seven (BT was one of the worst got a sniff of it and went blabbering on and carrying on that 'they'll get to the bottom of this' for pretty much 50% of the commentary time post the event).
  6. As Balls, I've got a few originals of these from back in the day! 😜
  7. Just as much a late 80s training jacket. Reminds me alot of the late, great Robbie Flower.
  8. Somewhat belated, but 'HELL YEAH'!! GO THE MIGHTY DEMONS!!! Awsome to be on the right side of the winners list this week in a close one.
  9. Not sure if you were on the turps when you wrote this Deever, but I think big Maxy did just fine kicking for goal after the siren Rd 23 last year and setup our magnificent premiership drought breaker. I don't want to critise him either. He's MFC royalty as far as I'm concerned, but I'd really love it if he can find his goal kicking radar again and help us smash the Cats in a prelim on the way to a flag at the spiritual home of the MFC at the MCG!
  10. Give me Fritta any day
  11. Something about Max's kicking for easy set shots at goal 🤔. [censored] [censored] [censored] !!!
  12. I don't disagree with that either but the media frenzy has also fed off this rubbish as well. It's like Jack Watts all over again in some sense. I also think it's a severe double standard. Let's see the jurno the wrote the story take an ice bath until someone else says it's time.
  13. For something a little random, I've gotta say - [censored] Fox Sorts news caries on with some rubbish sometimes just to make a story our of nothing. How's this for a [censored] storm out of nothing: https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/roos-great-says-club-wont-be-held-to-ransom-by-prized-no1-picks-uncertain-future/news-story/a7af70f7b0748d5c07186548a92a259a Like who really wants to take an ice bath. I can't imagine this being a story in other circumstances.
  14. Time to get this kid back into the side and start another games winning streak. In fact, let's turn it into a premership winning streak for Bowser.
  15. Conversely ... 2021? I like that record 80% record the MFC has of converting minor premerships into flags.
  16. Yep and didn't he put on a show for the ages on GF day!
  17. Loved that chase by Hunt. Was a mile off and they looked like they were going to waltz in and slam it through for a goal, but Hunt's chase and pressure they kicked to the square and it got rushed through or something. Exactly the sort of act which will see him hold his place in the team.
  18. I'm going off a bit in the stands tonight and thought maybe I was out ferraling the Collingwood supporters, but then a group of apprentice/teenaged Magpies went past screeching some rubbish and I'm starting to realise I'm not even in the same ball park.
  19. [censored] hate the modern way of selling all the good GA seats as reserved. They should always leave some decient ones for first in best dressed IMO. As MFC members at every other MFC home game this year (been to most) we've been able to sit freely on level on Southern stand - good reward for loyal support of the club NOT!
  20. I think it would be great for Jack to be captain again once Max retires or decides he doesn't want the role any more. He'll probably never be Shakespeare, but Jacks public speaking has got better of late as has his overall demeanor and overzealous intensity off the feild and I think he's also probably better equipped now to carry the mantle of captain.
  21. Agreed. Unless Bedford is desperate to leave, I don't think a 3rd Rd draft pick is a good deal for the MFC to have put 3 or 4 years development into a player who is starting to show signs he both close to the mark AFL quality wise and offers a point of difference with his pace. We'd only need one of Kossie or Spargo to get a long term injury and a guy like Bedford or Chandler is right in the mix. Unless it's a pretty early round pick (which admittedly Essendon would have), I hardly see how 3rd Rd draft picks actually offer much of an incentive for an AFL club to trade a player when the players picked up at those picks are highly speculative and most often a step backwards from a mature player another club sees enough value in to trade into their list.
  22. Can't stand alot of Kelly Underwood's over the top carry on, but the Bruce also use to annoy me and after the novelty of Rex Hunts slang enthusiasm wore off (realitively quickly) his calls and rants irritate the hell out of me these days. Love Daisy's work as well as plenty of that of ex elite male footballers come comentators too. I also thought that Christi Malthouse was really good value, did a very professional, no frills job at what she did and I find it a bit sad that she doesn't seem to have a prominent role covering that game any more, because I think she was a very good fit, probably having grown up around that elite AFL environment, similar to Daisy. Garry Lyon, Buckley, Healy, Parkin, Mathews, Carey, Jonathan Brown, Nick Reiwoldt are all pretty good in my view. As much as they can be a bit marginal at times I actually don't mind Brereton and Dunstall and although they can be a bit full of themselves, I do respect their first hand knowledge of playing their positions at the elite level. Ross Lyon doesn't have the greatest voice for commentary either, but I've found some of the stories shares regarding his coaching days and banter he has with Nick Riewoldt to be quite entertaining sometimes. Guys like Rex Hunt and Sam Newman have lost my respect these days. I know they would contest that the world has gone all PC and that at their age, they think they've earnt the right to speak their mind and/or don't care what other people think, but there's a huge difference between giving simply an honest frank, straight down the line oppinion and ranting on like a total [censored] and not caring about walking all over other people's reputations and feelings. It's about being frank in a respectful way and/or apologising if you overstep the mark, which I think either of the aforementioned would rarely do.
  23. Lol. I like the sentiment Big Col, but what have you been smoking in your pipe to come up with that? Perhaps that explains the rest of the post too. ...whatever it is, can I have some? P.S. I'm not sure what's more delusional. Your last para or the prospect of Tassie ever entering the comp (which I'd personally like to see BTW).
  24. So above all else, my take on the Fritta's option selection is that when you kick 6 goals in a winning grand final and basically turn the game in favour of your team off your own boot, you've earnt the right to back yourself and take whatever bloody shot for goal you want to. Will never forget the Fritta's magnificent role in that premiership glory and ending of 57 years of pain and misery for the red and blue faithful.
  25. I also thought Viney's game was very good. Not the exceptional BOG type of performance that he put in a few weeks back, but a high value gritty Jack Viney stand up and be counted when we needed someone to help us get the game back on our terms type performance. Asides from the others you mention in Sparrow, ANB and Harmes, I also thought that in the circumstances Trac played a really pivotal role in extracting the ball and generating that drive we needed when we needed it most, without the silver service he usually gets from his partner in crime Clayton. Was really pleasing to see that we could still play well and win without the best midfielder in the competition playing for us, up against a respectable opposing midfield in Port.
