Typical. If he fails, it's Roos' fault. If he improves and kicks 3 goals he just got 'lucky'. Rubbish.

The most annoying thing is that we've allowed ourselves to be dragged down to their level. They knew they couldn't be a shootout so they turned it in to a scrap, and we've allowed it to happen. Not good enough.

I love him, but Hogan KILLS us by missing those shots on goal. He should be practicing those at training...

It shows why he was picked. He had been, as you say, largely awful, but his 2 goals were classic AVB - a great contested mark and a long bomb from 50. It was great to watch.

Special mention to Billy Stretch so far as well. Love the run he gives us from a wing and he always looks so composed with the ball in his hands. Rarely makes a bad decision. Very impressed with his development this year.

Much better second quarter there, albeit with plenty of mistakes and poor decisions. I think our tall backs have been pretty good. Love Frost's run and OMac has shown a bit too. His brother, on the other hand, hasn't been up to scratch... yet. Petracca is a class above and it's good to see us using the ball a little better and actually hitting the scoreboard. We got the best and worst of AVB, but he showed why was picked with those 2 goals.

I don't think we could be playing any worse, so the only way is up from here. We've come out not switched on at all, almost as if we think it's going to happen. That's not good enough and it shows in our run, spread and disposal, but I'm hopeful that they get a real rocket from Roosy and they play as they did last week in the second term.
