Jeffy! Another 3 goals today, he's having a great season so far.
-
Beautiful from Lewis. Pedersen has been good today, might not be winning too many hit outs but giving us plenty around the ground.
-
That goal had nothing to do with him. Not his fault in that contest at all.
-
I love Jayden Hunt, but that fumble is inexcusable. Cost us a goal.
-
Petracca = gun. Great goal to get back straight away.
-
He's been better than Bellchambers and given us something around the ground, so it's a win so far.
-
How Garlett didn't get a free kick there is beyond me. Thankfully there was some justice with the Watts goal. More of this please! Amazing what quicker movement and composure under pressure can do.
-
Great work from Viney to get that ball out of the stoppage. Ripping stuff.
-
Great movement, good skills, goal. Not so hard, is it?

Big second half coming up for a few players. ANB has had 2 touches, JKH has had zero influence. Hannan has gotten his hands on it but turned it over a little. There are plenty of others who could lift their games, but for someone like JKH, this could be his last chance. Kennedy and Kent, even with his average form, are waiting in the wings and he may not get another look in.

This. It really can't be understated. Missing Hogan impacts someone like Watts as they swamp him all the time. Our small forwards need to up their pressure a little more in the second half.

I don't even know what to make of this game. We honestly look lost going forward. No Gawn, or even Spencer, means we will never take a pack mark coming out of the backline and we haven't moved the ball quick enough to take advantage of when we do get our hands on the ball. Hurley took 4 intercept marks that quarter alone as we just bombed it long and he zoned off and took the mark. Positives are the fact we are still in it and I feel as though our backline has been okay. Their mosquito fleet have had little impact and our pressure around the ground as been good. There is little else to be happy with, though.

Another horrid decision against us. Oliver clearly handballed it.
-
Oliver. Star. No idea why we don't rest him forward more often.
-
We are getting rooted by the umps today. They missed 2 50 metre penalties for us, and then cough one up on us when Daniher walks off the mark. Ridiculous stuff.
-
Bernie gets in on the turnover fest.
-
Just goes to show how much we miss someone like Hogan up forward. We can get our hands on it but we really have no tall options. They can just converge on Watts or Pedersen and pick it off.
-
Jesus, this is awful, awful stuff.
-
Nothing was more certain. Tyson couldn't have any less confidence in his abilities at the moment.
-
Can I get that 30 minutes back? Bombers stink, we're not much better. At least we are having a dip.
-
Disappointing to lose, but it's also a by product of our list at the moment. They would have no recognised ruckmen and barely any quality tall players to call upon. Doesn't necessarily make it easy for Casey to tough out a win.
-
Longmire may need to step aside. Maybe it's time for a different approach, as clearly what they are doing just isn't working anymore. True, but none of them have had to deal with the injuries we've had. I don't like using it as an excuse, but it isn't as if we've had a full list and played poorly. There's more to it than that.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - ROUND 6
Wiseblood replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Old Dee has more mood swings about this club than a 13 year old girl. One week he is up and about, the next sees him fill up every thread with negativity. Make up your mind old fella! -
Bruce was right for once in his commentary - a bloke can spoil a ball deliberately out of bounds and get away with it, yet a bloke can get bumped and get pinged for deliberate. It makes little sense.
-
Dogs currently doing what we can't do on Sunday - bomb it long to about 20 metres out. They got lucky then with Bont kicking the goal, but the Giants are picking them off too easily. We need to use it better.
