  1. So it's the coach who decides? Who would have thought he did that. If JKH is picked then it's because there isn't anyone better in his position in terms of form. Kent isn't setting the world alight and Kennedy seems in no man's land. Goodwin might pick him, but it won't be on form.
  2. I won't argue the ANB choice, even if he had a stinker yesterday as his previous games have been very good, but JKH has been giving us nothing except a bit of pressure. We can't carry blokes from here.
  3. Has he? When did he tell you this?
  4. I agree SS, and I was thinking much the same thing today. He is a deceptively good mark and he knows where the goals are. He would only need a few minutes down there each quarter to make an impact.
  5. All it took was one loss. Not even we are that bad...
  6. I won't be going in with many expectations against the Crows over there. But you would think a side that is 5-0 and being talked up by all and sundry would put in a better performance than this.
  7. How good are the Crows? They are a seriously formidable football side. Richmond are who we thought they were. Pretenders. Top of the table clash and they are totally blown off the park. Give it a few weeks and they'll be ninth again.
  8. Hasn't he? Excellent may have been a strong choice of word, but his improvement and intensity around the contest have been very good all year. There is no one worth replacing him with anyway.
  9. I think Gorgoroth is correct in that I think Hogan will need another week, which is totally understandable. To me we make just the one change: In: Kennedy Out: JKH I know others will look at ANB as someone who needs to be dropped, but he deserves another game as his 5 prior to today have been excellent. No doubt he went missing for large parts of the game but there is no need to make too many changes to a winning side.
  10. Webber - no doubt he gets potted more than he should on here. When he is on he is one of the better defenders in the league. He reads the play well, backs himself and is rarely beaten one on one. His decision making, though, leaves a little to be desired which I'm sure you would agree with. A few times today his kicking really let him down and sometimes he needs to just go with the safer option, but is no different to many others who made glaring errors. I agree that we should look at his positives more often, but he also gives reason for negatives as well.
  11. Dangerfield and Selwood have little influence = a bog ordinary Geelong side. Everyone knows it, too. You curb them and Geelong doesn't have an answer for it.
  12. Which supporter pages does he moderate? And on Pedersen, he gave us everything asked of him and more. Ripping game today and if he can bring that each week then we'll be okay.
  13. How many touches did Oliver have in that last quarter? 15? The kid is a freak.
  14. I feel sorry for Dom. He's a great midfielder in terms of finding the footy, getting to the right spots and having an impact. His kicking, which a few years ago was a strength, and his decision making seriously let him down. If he could kick like a Hibberd then he would almost be our best player.
  15. I think we need to all pretend the first half didn't happen. Second half was the Melbourne we've seen this year. Much better efficiency going forward today, and to see Watts, Trac and Garlett snaffle 11 goals between them is proof of that. Our midfield stood up well and Pedersen got better and better as the game went on. JKH had a mare and looks way off the pace, ANB was quiet and Melksham has his moments - he might not be the best player but he certainly did his job on their small defenders who had no influence at all when the game was on the line. That's easily forgotten. Would love to back it up again next week with a win over Whorethorn. What a double that would be.
  16. If we get anything out of today, it's that we made the right decision taking Oliver over Parish. Another 33 touches for Oliver today.
  17. Yes it is, Clint. Don't let MFCSS get the better of you. 6 minutes left @praha
  18. Finish it off! Don't let them get cheap goals to finish the game.
  19. Classic Dom Tyson turnover there. We're in front so I'm not even mad about it.
  20. Spot on, Jack. How good do we look when it goes all click together? When it works, we can match it with anyone.
  21. Far better than we could hope for. You could argue that he is taking on a bloke past his prime, but his ability to run between the arcs and help at the stoppages has been invaluable today. Let's hope he can finish it off.
  22. 8 goal third term, great use of the footy and we didn't even cough up a late goal. THAT is the Melbourne we know these days. Pretend the first half group that showed up doesn't exist at all.
  23. The sink was the turning point for us. Go and block it again!
  24. Lucky free kick to Watts, but we deserve a few. And he goals! 32 points up!
  25. Good composure from ANB there. Viney has had a big third term as well. We've kicked 7 goals for the term. There were 8 combined in the first half.
