I said "better" opponents. This year we've beaten no "better" opponents.

Soggy biscuit gets boring after a few camps, we used to mix it up a little so they need some new ideas.

At round 22 it still feels like we are trying to find a best 22! While most clubs (even with injuries) are mostly settled by around R5

I do find this potential injury interesting. Some have been saying he's been injured in the leg department for weeks, how come no scans beforehand? It's also interesting that his injuries seem fine when playing lesser teams like GC the week before and he moved around freely.

Interesting you mention Jeffy does nothing defensively, did he not have a game high 18 pressure acts yesterday? I'd have him every day of the week at the moment over Spargo, who cant hold down tackles anyway and gets pushed off the ball too easily. Jeff is a matchwinner, Spargo may be in time.

What about the Round 1 selection debacle? Playing 3 key forwards? No Frost when Lever went down, how many games? There's a few in there, last year was worse.

Make the hard calls, become the baby dees or replace with the next lot of experienced players. It really does seem like it's the older guys who let the young ones down sometimes.

How many games do people think we have lost in the last two years at the selection table? I see it mentioned a fair bit, curious to peoples thoughts. 5-10?

If the opposition analysis coach had done his homework, he would have picked up that Heeney going back as a loose man is quite common for Sydney. How we left him alone for so long is actually a joke. Once again Goody outcoached and slow to react.

A previous poster said there were images of the boys on instagram that have now been taken down. I didn't see it.

What is/was our average age and average games played vs the rest of the AFL on the weekend? Anyone know where to find it? It seems our kids are either young and inexperienced and our old players are codgers.

The timing of the Lever engagement is actually pretty poor IMO, Jake is also one of our backline coaches while injured also. Late nights before a big game don't help anyone, regardless of drinking or not.

His kicking routine is atrocious, he's been in the system long enough to sort this out, under pressure it will most always crack. The jog and stutter, ball swinging around in a circle from side to side, the right angles skip to the right before he kicks. He really needs a real coach to sort him out (Carey, Lockett, Dunstall etc). His attitude at times is also terrible, dropping his head and playing for frees. He's important to us if he can sort himself out, but he's not untradeable. If we got 2 x first rounders that netted Josh Kelly, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Another thing is, Hogan seems to always have a niggle against good sides and then dominates against sides like GC.

@Clint Bizkit I saw you ask the question in another thread so thought I'd share here. Theres no doubt in my mind now after looking at the stats that Hogan is a flat track bully, rarely has a good game against better sides which is a concern. Hogan: Has kicked only 9 goals in 8 games vs the top 10 at an average of just 1.12 goals per game, being goalless twice and kicking 1 on 4 occasions. In contrast vs the bottom 8 he has kicked 38 goals in 12 games at an average of 3.16 per game. That is flat track territory and gives weight to those that are arguing this point. TMAC on the other hand this year missed a few games at the start but in his 4 games against the top 10 has booted 15 goals at an average of 3.75 per game and 27 goals in 11 games vs bottom 8 at 2.45 per game.
