  1. Amyl and the Sniffers are great fun. They've put out some cool stuff lately. Might be an anthem for those double jabbed in NSW shortly. Anyone that says Rock and Roll is dead, just needs to look a little further. Triple J is a wasteland. Community Radio is still playing great new stuff. The Chats are great fun as well: West Thebarton from Adelaide are a great live band: Royal Headache put out a cracking album before they fell apart. An ode to Chris Scott: Sir Ed Keupper from the Saints put out an absolute cracker of an album and EP a year or two ago.I can't recommend it enough if you like your rock and roll with horns! Future of the Left. Falco taking a slap at the fact bands get paid nothing for their music, so they go on tour to sell Tshirts. And kids in ramones tshirts who don't even know who the ramones are: There's loads of great new stuff out there. Great thread @Engorged Onion
  2. I loved that British Sea Power album and then they just seemed to sink. Great cover of Johnny Cashs Jackson as well
  3. One of the great Brissie bands Giants of Science - Here comes the Punishment https://youtu.be/fN8wM5UWxew For the umpires, you can't go past Cosmic Psychos and their Wonderful intro. Language warning... https://youtu.be/X-ZOVqdYQ8s When we win, who else but Falco from future of the left (close to my favourite band in the world) could sing a song about an anti gay sex politician who gets caught in a sex scandal with teenage boys and... About his cat named Colin. https://youtu.be/XLbgwk1OFB4 Kozzy Pickett and Little Richard. What a player, what a voice! https://youtu.be/5ydBkmgJi-g This Arvo, I'm going to sit down and try and make a fist of this song on guitar. Everlong by the foo fighters..seems apt for us Dee's supporters. https://youtu.be/NWU33fvPxd0
  4. Yep, it's part of the worry for me about coming through unscathed. Viney elbow to the head / throat equals two weeks. Selwood elbow to the throat equals nothing to worry about. I could see the likes of Viney sticking up for Clarry and getting reported. Anyways, you're right about them being tougher and more mature. I just reckon Selwood will match up on Clarry and be a complete grub even more than usual. I hope we just run them off their legs and completely destroy them.
  5. I'm dreaming of getting to a Dees prelim eventually for the same reason. It's about the fans rather than the Gran Final corporates
  6. I think we should roll them. By biggest concern is Clayton Oliver. If I was Scott, I'd physically target and to try hurt him. Geelong are grubs enough to do it. Selwood, Dangerfield, Hawkins have a free pass to hurt people and I reckon they'll try and take him out of the game. I just want to see us get through this with a win and unscathed. I'd almost consider giving Jones a run to go out and just tear Selwoods head off.
  7. There was a legendary scam years ago where some fourex delivery drivers would hollow out the middle of pallets of slabs of beer. Take half a dozen out of each pallet, then deliver them to liquor barns. No-one would notice when they were plonked on the store floor as customers would just take the slabs off the pallet. They were selling the extra slabs from under their house to mates. 3 days across the Nullarbor surrounded by slabs of beer Sounds feasible to me.
  8. I'm in NSW. Don't think we'll get to zero covid by Friday We have two memberships. Hit me up and definitely want a photo too.
  9. It seems it's the only way things change now is when the media do or don't make a big deal about things. Stars thumping players head high...no big deal Don't like the rules....complain about them enough and they get changed Fagan and the Lions probably need to go ballistic enough about the umpiring that the media will make it an issue for the AFL to have to deal with. It's a blight on our game.
  10. I remember when umps used to put the whistle away in finals. That's what used to make them so good
  11. He is a joke. Some key position players you just hope never get injured. Daniher is one of them
  12. I would love to see the cats get absolutely crushed but I would love to see us doing the crushing. 2018 finals win over the cats was a real highlight for me. I'm vexed. I really hate Geelong and I've put money on the giants before Hogan got pulled. Vexed!
  13. We are the best team in the comp this year. So, we must make the Granny. I can handle losing the Granny and still be satisfied with the season but to not make the final this year the way we have played would be crushing.
  14. Mine didn't. Grew up in Brisbane during the Lions glory years and never could understand why they were forced to barrack for such a crappy team. Then we went down to the MCG for the 150th year celebration match against Collingwood. We ended up with seats in the Collingwood cheer squad. Fights broke out around them between magpie supporters. This experience galvanised them. We lost of course. So stoked they stuck fat. They're both up in Nth Qld and loving the way we are playing now. Very proud of them.
  15. We complain so much about the standard of umpiring. Why would you be an ump? It's about as attractive as being an ICU nurse in Sydney. We have to look after them and start paying them properly to raise the standard. Just another reason why the grub should go
  16. Gimme the cats. I would love to see them psychologically damaged. I would love to see them get their hopes up and then for us to dump them out the way West Coke did to us in 2018
  17. Loved the vision of the Lions warm down post game. Everyone walking in circles while being drilled by their fitness team to bend and stretch out. The clown Mathieson was just walking around in the circle chatting to some bloke not even participating. Arrogance personified.
  18. For me he was BOG tonight. Just relentless. Never gave in. He was what finals footy is all about. Just loving our captain right now
  19. From me too here in Northern NSW. Yell your guts out for us. Get them over the line and soak it all up.
  20. Ooooh, I just twitched remembering all those over the back goals in past years
  21. Geelong covid test. If you can't taste it, you've got the Rona!
  22. Why were they booing Dangerfield? He was massive for Port tonight
  23. I know what you mean. I may have to put some kind of time controlled pad lock on the beer fridge. Just adding even more to a bizzaro year
