POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Yeah I tend to agree. The team seems so flat and out of sorts at the moment.

Yep he looked really sore for most of the game.

How about that grub Stringer in the first or second quarter. Gave away a free to Nev and then need him in the face. No 50

Looks like it. Couple of good young players in the team. We could make finals in a couple of years.

Training - Thursday, 4th April 2019
Haha yes. Maybe even chasing people hopelessly back out of the forward line. If only Jesse was here. He could teach the boys how to make a vain attempt to pull a free kick when completely outnumbered. This tactic worked at least once every two games. 6 x forwards divided by 2 games equals 3 free kicks in front of goal! Oh wait. We usually only have one forward in the forward 50 when going forward.

PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
I agree. People are forgetting game 1 where we got run off our feet. Preuss will make us slower and our biggest danger is Essendon running us off our feet. Game 2 we just bombed it in. If our plan is to rest Gawn / Preuss in the goal square and bomb it in, we're screwed as well. We need to be faster. We need to lower our eyes. Not sure that Wagners are the answer but I don't think Preuss is.

How were the bombs into the forward line? Hope they practiced this lots as they didn't seem to work last weekend.....

Changes v Essendon
Yeah that was the most disappointing aspect of Saturday night for me. Regression back to bombing it in all night long..... Exactly the same as early last year.

Changes v Essendon
Not bombing it blindly into the forward line would be my most favoured change. I remember us doing this early last year. It should have been addressed by quarter time last night ffs.

Probably MDMA. Not matter how much you take it starts to wear off midway through the third.

Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
I agree about Preuss. We got beaten by leg speed and contested possessions in the mid field. He wouldn't have made a difference. I thought Dec Keilty did alright in JLT and may be better suited to support Gawn while having some more toe than Preuss

Casey v Box Hill - Practice Game on Sunday
Thanks @Drunkn167 great report. I remember watching a training run at the Gabba years ago and being so impressed with Rawlings work with the backline players. Really hands on and very detailed with the players. I hope the club can hang on to him and feel like our senior backline squad are missing his coaching.

Steven May Suspended for 1 Match
I think you're spot on Paulo and this is a prime candidate for the rules committee to look at for next year. Something along the lines of "players must be gazing into each other's eyes before contact is made" some sort of mutual consent......pfft

Twilight/Night Grand Final
An even higher authority has spoken. No night footy after labor wins the next election according to our depudy dawg Channel 7 will be furious.? https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2019/mar/10/forget-night-footy-michael-mccormack-warns-against-labors-renewables-target

Lyon: Oliver is Demons best EVER midfielder
I'd agree. I spend so much time rewinding the game to watch his hands and body work. He's just a joy to watch. I've never seen a player with the awareness and skills that he has. And he's got some mongrel in him too.

Gus & Clarry Sugar Free
I found it interesting about Vineys fasting regime. Must take some real focus to be an athlete like that and restrict yourself to only an 8 hour eating window.

AFLW: Rd 4 vs North Melbourne
TBH, I think the AFL is expecting professional level football from the players but are not expecting the same from umps. Why would you be an ump? They need to start attracting a better calibre of person by renumerating them well at both AFL and AFLW level. And.... dropping and de-listing them when they're s#$t. There's no reason why they can't have a pool of 40 to 50 umpires just like an AFL team has and recruit and de-list if their decision making is poor. It's a blight on the game. I know it's hard to officiate the game these days but geez, they should have the nous to put the whistle away in such a good (and critical) contest as this. They pay so much for television rights and put so much money into both forms of the game, surely they could do the same for umps and potentially recruit good ex-footballers who have retired, didn't quite make it or have had their careers cut short etc. Just pay them to be a professional and drop them when they are not. Make it a career path that men and women take seriously because they certainly can't be taken seriously at the moment. Razor Ray is the best we've got?

You would think they'd have a vested interest in seeing a great womens game of footy not ruined by d@#$heads in green
