  1. And some supporters would not go astray. Maybe a stadium that can reached by public transport. Should just pack them up and send them to Nt or Tasmania as far as Im concerned.
  2. Selwood will get two weeks. That looked pretty bad.
  3. I think Bbb will be in for the Dons clash and play well. I also think Sw will leave at the end of season and he like Bbb will be better at another club. It happens. If we can get our forward line firing it will be much more exciting and we may squash a few teams along the way. At keast we are a fair way still from finals so we can srill get it right. And if Im wrong about Bbb then maybe the Brown will step up. Thank goodness for Tmac. Who would have thought?
  4. Good call. Its so strange. Probably the one in charge of internarional quarratine arrivals made the seating tonight.
  5. I would love to know why we have many slow starts? I appreciate our level of fitness and the games where we have come from behind but we are not making things easy.
  6. Rowan could learn a lesson from Kozzie.re touched kicks on goal.
  7. Watched parts of the replay of pies game. My goodness we were poor. I dont think we could have played worse. Our forwards were shocking and our touted mids were not far behind. Anyone watching that would scratch their heads wondering how we were on top of thed ladder.
  8. This game is a challenge. Cats win puts us back on top but my wrath towards geelong has me confused. The ...cats...have won ninety out of their last 100 games at the cattery. Wow. But maybe going back to second place is what our team needs after most of them stank it up big time v the pies. But the cats with their firepower are a huge threat to the flag and we have shown we are not so beatable. Mmmmm.
  9. Worse than this was the d/^hea$ pies supporter behind me who called out every frre for us. Especially the ones paid on the opposite wing to our seats. Given we were fairly high up in the o reilly stand this bloke must have the greatest eyesight in the world. Ahh Pies supporters...they truly are a class of their own. A much lower one.? Always a memorable game with them I guess.
  10. Despite Tmac having a shocker against the pies we would be lucky to be in the eight without him. I was so excited about the ppwer of our forward line. With Bbb and Weideman kicking bags in the vfl a month or so ago I was thinking we may have the best fwd line in the comp. My oh my. I cant see Weideman being a part of it now suffice to say zero kicks against a bottom team is reason why. Cant say he hasnt had chances. So we are pinning our hopes on one of the Browns. Bbb has a great history so if he can do a Tmac we will be ok. As for Jackson, I think he is starting to show that he is a good forward. When he plays in the ruck we always need Max to move up fwd.
  11. So tired of always having to play at the cattery. Not only is it always hard to win its a hole for other team supporters. There are some clubs who always manage to evade the place.
  12. Maybe if the Footy Gods smile upon us in this second stage of the season and.... Viney returns to the team and plays out the rest of the games. BBB dies a Tmac and recaptures his old form There are no more serious injuries Then a flag looks very promising. Thats a lot to ride on but we need to find another tall because its not weideman. Sparrow has showed promise but he is sill a work in progress. Jack v is bound to have a run of fitness and games together. What a difference Jv and Bbb in fine form would make. Its possible.
  13. Thanks Lord. The upside I guess is we are half way through the season and we still have time to get our forward line tweaked. Tmac and Fritta had shockers but they still feature high on the Afl goal kickers. And Kozzie apart from pies game has been kicking goals at long last. Max has become more accurate as has Anb. (Oliver really needs to work on his kicking and as much as he is a star misses some truly easy shots on goal.) Langdon and Spargo ususlly chip in with a goal each but were strangely quiet. Interestingly if you look at the 2018 dees goal scorers we had a plethora. But if we can get one of the Browns firing in place of Weid before the finals then it will make a huge difference. Luke Jackson has improved immensley so everything could click and we may start kicking 100 points plus.
  14. Was there on the wing. There was a moment when Max marked in front of me about sixty out from goal. All our talls were miles behind him in the centre. Yes delivery was poor but our forwards were all over the place. And when delivery was reasonable we were simply out marked or out positioned. There was also little strategy bw them. But on the whole, you are correct about delivery. Pies showed us how it was done with precision inside fifties. Having said that some forwards go and create their own luck so to speak and thats what makes them champions. Our forwards except for Jackson were Im sad to say lazy this game gone by . Maybe they were thinking it was a cake walk...But for some reason they just didnt fight like they previously have.
  15. Dont want to be a downer but I wouldnt get too excited about when the club says he will be back. I recall he was only out for two Then four Then six Heres hoping....has been very much missed .
  16. Wasnt all Weids fault. I forgot to include Kozzie. I think we lost because we didnt kick enough goals. Our three leading scorers kicked ONE goal between them. I think its probably a part of it ?
  17. We are not down a great deal but we rely on Fritta and Tmac more than we should. What happens when they both have a bad day. We lose to a side like cwood.
  18. And rightly so. Tmac and Fritta have been good but we need a power forward like Hawkins , Roo or Walker. If Bbb can get back to his okd form then a flag is certainly in reach. As good as our defence is we still are not kicking enough goals. We do not have the luxury of time to keep playing Sam W . In fact after five or six seasons its time to stop. The window for a flag is NOW and next year. We get Bbb in asap and if he fails Mitch Brown. The club did its best I guess and I think it was a hard call working out who to play bw Weid and bbb. But surely after sw last game we have to put bbb back in. Bbb only played 3 games for the whole year and was not shocking. He is also a proven leading Afl goal kicker for three out of the last four seasons( home and away games) so theres that. I say the club resets and presents after the bye with bbb for at least the next four or five games and if it does not work we try the other Brown.
  19. The accuracy and speed of delivery to their forwards by the pies was par excellence and our defenders were limited in stopping them. Was a great performance and I hope we took notice. Our mids blew it as much as our forward line did imho.
  20. When I think about the tigers and Geelong ...The power of their forwards comes into it. We need to be able to have somthing equivalent.
  21. My bad. Yes you are correct.
  22. He was ok in two games and poor in another. Given they were his only senior games for over a year of footy , I stongly disagree with your post.
  23. The club dropped the ball in dropping bbb in the first instance. I understand why but with hindsight was the wrong call in replacing him with sw. Only the club knows where bb is with form and fitness at present but if hes right to go no person could argue for sw instead of him. A serious marking inability has crept into poor Sams game and we dont have the luxury of gifting him games in hopes that it will get better. His confidence seems very low and the guy is struggling. Sadly the club has been very patient with him. May be best for both parties to part ways at seasons end. Sw may get more games elsewhere and improve and we may get a great replacement.
  24. Oliver poor kicking.
