  1. Still have nightmares the time when Adam Goodes tore us apart. But as Binman pointed out some of their killer forwards are out. And some have had poor seasons. Not unlike our forward line except it's come to life, especially last week. I'm keen to see how it goes today. I'm predicting Kozzie to have a big day in what I understand to be fine conditions. And of course, see what some of the young ones do. If we play like last week we will definitely win.
  2. Just the number that have stuck by them. I also thought in Melbourne many would die off in terms of no new support in from young kids choosing at team. But maybe the trend of your dad's team still goes. At least that's what I did. But they do pretty well. They would get bigger crowds in Sydney too, if the Scg had a larger capacity. It's been a very successful move for the club and AFL. Being the first one, many thought it would fail. Although I'm sure there were a few dirty fans that haven't followed footy again. Imagine if Melbourne was relocated to Tassie and called the Tassie demons. It would break hearts here. And rightly so. I live in Wollongong and people here get perplexed that an AFL game at the Scg gets much larger crowds than NRL games. Except State of Origin up here. This is crazy with the level of support and passion. It's like three grand finals.
  3. It both surprises and annoys me how many Swan supporters there are in Melbourne still, and that get to games. Hope we get a big turnout for us.
  4. Alright Stan, give it a rest
  5. I don't bet on the dees but if I did I would back us for a win today based on my assessment we are overs at 2.00. And Jake the snake.
  6. Shooting I think.
  7. Good morning DLand. Well there is certainly a pulse back in the old club. And I'd politely suggest if your not a little enthusiastic about today that you check yours.
  8. If Jvr took 13 marks in what sounded like windy conditions then I'd say he had a great day. Didn't watch so I'm hoping they were not just "pass marks" but it sounds like good news. And if Jeffo scored 5 goals, I'm very happy. Know doubt Roo has gone backwards after such high expectations but I still hold much hope for him and also Jeffo. The latter only played a handful of senior games and gets an unfair rap here way too often. And back to Roo, his hands have been the biggest issue, often hitting the ball at too much locomotion. Maybe he's learnt to drop them a bit back at the right time to cushion the impact. It sounds like they are pressing hard for selection from most of these accounts. Thanks peeps. All is good at the MFC. If not for nothing at least keep a fire burning under Fritta and anyone in our forward line not playing like Melksham. Nothing but pure and consistent intensity.
  9. Their thrown in the towel
  10. There you go my friend.
  11. My poor math there. If we win tomorrow, I'd say we need another eight.
  12. Fat lady warming up.
  13. Here comes the umpires.
  14. Gee we did well v Gws earlier.
  15. What a goal
  16. Absolutely DS. Everyone supporting Gws I assume. Hogan still makes me sad not playing for us but I always wish home the best. Decent bloke I really dislike a lot of Carlton supporters.
  17. This Gws Blues game is a cracker. Except Blues just scored. Great passage of play though.
  18. I wouldn't say he's a fine kick. Especially set shots. I would humbly suggest your on your own here. But I defend your right to free speech comrade rpfc. He is excellent around the body and the odd quick snap. But like his other partner in crime, Max, I'm sure that Benny Hill theme starts to kick into his mind, when he's starting to kick in.
  19. I think we have this one Narm is the secret weapon these days.
  20. Maybe too early and mods please delete or shuffle if appropriate. I couldn't find one. 13 more games I think. If we win tomorrow that's 20 points . How many do we need? Is 13 wins given our percentage enough? That's eight more including tomorrow. Big ask. But every season in terms of those last six to eight vying for the last few spots seem to get tighter.
  21. Le big Mac please.
  22. Has anyone ever watched every game in a round ever. Split screen perhaps? It's like the daily trifecta of Maccas, Hungry Jacks and KFC. Only healthier.
  23. I imagine with him, Fritta, Milkshake it could be quite challenging for other teams.
  24. Clearly, a new sense of hope here. Long and arduous road ahead but thank goodness there is some light again. I'll openly admit I had us completely written off after five in a row but now four wins in five with a top scalp where is Big Kev? I'm still annoyed about the Gws game and the umpiring and poor kicking v hawks because both those were entirely gettable. Just saying. With those wins we would be in the eight and serious contenders. Such a fine line at times between success and failure in this game for sure. Again really keen to see Langford and Lindsay play. I'm hoping for Jvr to perform and come back soon. On paper these days with a fit list we look pretty damn good and now seem to have some viable options on a longer one for once.
  25. Just opponents alive for lunch quite frequently. Still really concerned about his omission but better minds than me I guess. I once thought a skinny tall ruckman by the name of Gawn, I think, would never make it. Speaking of better minds does anyone think Tmac should be played forward again? Especially given the brains trust think he's not required down back at present.
