  1. Ditto and to add to his 194cm he has a great leap
  2. I think he's the sort of player we have been crying out for. Someone who could play all these roles. Interesting player.
  3. This youngster is pretty quick for a 194 cm. He moves well and seems to have more confidence given the number of games he's played. Therefore I am inclined to play him on a flank or perhaps some centre time. Although I would need to see more of him to make the midfield call. Because of his speed I think it would be a waste to have him play fwd full time.bif so definitely as a CHF. He has a great leap too. I think as a winger or mid he could spend time up fwd in spells Keen to hear some other opinions on where to play him. He's only 22 so will probably get stronger adding to his fwd craft. He would be pretty handy in the middle with his height and a great link up option out of the backline. The passage of play where he was being chased by had the coolness to not just bang away was excellent. I'm talking about the one where he hit up Fritta on the other side of the camera/ ground. He seemed to have no options and with an opponent breathing down his neck he still took a bounce and ran and then delivered it pinpoint to Fritta. I'm a looking and I'm a liking. We could do well with another non fwd kicking a couple of goals each game. This is something we have missed dramatically since 2021. Then again it would be interesting to see him play at CHF with licence to go wherever he wants. There's something special about players who do an acl early in their playing days. It gives them a sense of determination. Eagles were mad to.let this bloke go. And also poor in respect to looking after their players. One injury and they show him the door. Their loss for sure.
  4. Where does Jai play. He's described as a midfielder but he's 194 cm I think. And he has a decent leap. ???
  5. The not 15m calls when the ball is still halfway in the air and the player is running after it, kills me. Just wait a few seconds before calling it.
  6. Surely we will.make a statement today and kick 140.
  7. Should be ok from here given we had the last quarter off in last week's game
  8. Today's performance is why Goodwin had clearly stuck with Petty. Bit of bet my house that it's an outlier. I wish it weren't.
  9. And only a week ago id be smug and smiling with a ten goal lead at the final break. Those days are forever gone.
  10. Sorry Jaded. Nice sentiment but I'd wait until the final siren.
  11. Petty's marking has definitely improved
  12. Viney is supreme with his tackling. Not just the number but they are rarely shaken. He and Max are still our best.
  13. Let's get rid of the coach by a ten goal lead at three quarter time.
  14. This is just triggering the pstd from last week.
  15. Good to see Petty looking so lively.
  16. Almost there at 38 points.
  17. Without a ten goal buffer at three quarter time...eagles will sniff a win here. Then again records are made to be broken. Simon.must be nervous. If we lose today the noise for his head will get a lot louder.
  18. Yippee JC. Get around him.
  19. Surely we could give Turner a trial up forward full time a for the rest of the year. With Petts or Roo to swap. Your going to coach yourself out of a job Simon.
  20. Chin continues on from last week.
  21. They certainly cost us a lot.
  22. If only Roo could hold some.more marks He gets to the contest. Leaps and contests well but they just don't stick He's also a decent kick at goal. He's strong and athletic but this is a massive issue in his game and one that will probably see him go the way of Sam Weideman if he can't change it. On the otherhand if he does solve it he could be a very reliable forward. Not to the degree we were all hoping but a good one nonetheless. Here's still hoping. Petty with six touches and a goal has met his game quota in only a half and his best game for the year. But that's not exciting ,unfortunately . Just nice to say something positive about him for a change. Apart from the fact he's one of our best defenders. Max..still a superstar of the game.
  23. You are correct with this statement. But I took that into account with these blokes who have the least. A good defender like Bowey averages just under 3 per game. The ones I mentioned have around one. I think our backline has gone backwards so to speak the last two years a part of it has been less chasing and tackling We don't seem to put opposition fwds under as much duress like we used too. It's something we have lacked up fwd this year with Fritta being a big offender. He's lifted a lot and it's impacted the rest of his game. It may seem like a small things but it's the basics that need to be done when your down. Look at the lack of forward pressure there was v saints in the last.
  24. McVee, Salem and Howes simply don't apply anywhere near enough tackles. Every week Viney has more than those three combined.
