2020 starts now ?
This year is done and dusted. The only good news is we have a good list that dominated last year. We will get back key defenders and hopefully get rid of those nqr players . Its a huge kick in the guts but all we can do is aim for 2020. Damn it.

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
So damn true. He has a specific role down back which he usually does quite well.

We are like the doggies who after winning their flag were satisfied enough to close shop the following year. Except of course we were satisfied with just a prelim berth.

No doubt all of us are pizzed off...angry....confused and or frustrated. We are trying to come to terms with the reality that last year seems to have been a false dawn. Yea theres no point mentioning how long its been but it sure is infuriating when so many players presented in the media about how good 2019 will be. Maybe they really believed it. Cant lump them altogether but look at the new kid Hore who put his body on the line today. Gameplan aside....there are mnny senior players that just dont have the passion this year.

Goodwin has players that can play. Brayshaw, Clarry, Gawn, Tmac etc. They have proven that they have the know how and ability. What has happened from the highs of the finals (minus that loss to the Eagles) to now, at 1-4 is staggering. Yep. Notwithstanding the fact we beat the reigning premiers at their home last year. It is staggering how much we have regressed. Despite all the injuries to our key backline fixes it is more than just gameplan. We can all name many senior players that have had barry crockers. Preperation to the year has to be a bigfactor . Leadership is another. Cockiness is probably another one with players believing their own press. We are now at the point that if we make finals if will be the biggest comeback since Easter 2,019 years ago.

So hes ok then. Forget about his other 30 misses over the last year. He is supposed to.

He is certainly putting in but a forward must kick goals from 20m out or not present for the ball.

Yep....its the law of angry traded player that dictates they play a blinder against the club that traded them. Kent has a big heart but too m any injuries. Although Lever and May have had issues too. Lets face it....its a bloody crap shoot.

1 goal a game from Weid isnt enough and 2 goals from 5 games for tmac is deplorable. Ironically he was touted to be a chance for the Coleman. He is on target to kick nine goals for the year.

The forward line In particular big bucks tmac and only 2 good games Weid. Add in worst said shot Trac and arm waver Spargo and thats all folks.

Worried
We seem to have our appetite for winning back. I hope after the Swans win which was bigger than most give it credit for we continue to be hungry for more. It was hreat to see all the boys congratulate each goal scorer in the last quarter and hold their heads high at the final siren. Saints were good today but we will be better and hopefully our season will be on the mend. Preuss will be a big factor. We need him in and I think on a lesser defender than Olir we could see him do some big damage. Tmac and Weid to build on last week as with the midfield and we will be Dees of last year. Or the old Melbourne could turn up. By God this club keeps us on our toes.

When he fires he is awesome. I wonder if he has lost pace. He certainly has shown how its done in the past and is an alternative to a couple of others. If he doesnt fire than it may be end days. I would take a punt at a large ground like the Mcg.

Lack of marking.
Spot on. Its why I posted. This years marking deficit has been a glaring problem especially with the players I mentioned. Gawn took several massive grabs in the swans 2nd half and I hope it continues. Im sure Lever and May will make a difference but somthing up fwd needs to change asap.

Lack of marking.
I thought that last year this was an area we really improved in. perhaps when Vanders and May return it will be rectified to your standard.
-
Lack of marking.
We have been beaten in this field in every game. Gawn, Tmac, Weid and other talls have not taken their usual tally. Even against the Swans we were about 20 down. Hogan was prolific but so were the others last year. Is it just confidence? Need to turn it around.

What to do with Bruce Mcaveney
