  1. Marcus Bontempelli should really have been reported for his hit on Oliver around the 12 minute mark in the second. Maybe he has. I apologize if I've missed it. Clayton had his head down low going for the ball and good old Bont only had eyes for collecting him. His arm was tucked in and he went straight for the ram. Bont wasn't protecting himself or going for the ball. It was a clear premeditated hit. Lucky Oliver wasn't concussed but it could have had a big impact if he was.
  2. I'm sure every club and sundry would love to add Luke to their ranks. I thought he would take a few years to really start impacting games but he's smashed not a few this year. May he have a long and successful career AT MFC.
  3. I've always wanted a humidor. Nothing else really announces one has arrived.
  4. I think a fob watch on a chain would be more suitable to us the sophisticated and discerning supporters of the Afl. With matching pipe and slippers.
  5. Are we going to see more of Luke in the middle in 22 and if so will Max go forward or back or bench? I'm pretty sure the first is a yes but perhaps the other two depend on opponents. It's a strange thing to take the comps best ruck out of position but a great luxury to have and it shook up the dogs just in time. Given Max's prelim efforts one would be more inclined these days to " rest " him up forward.
  6. It's going to be really interesting. Dunstans a good player who has been hindered by injuries. But the gf team is a tough act to follow for sure. I think if they all hold for. It's going to be very tough for him to break in as for everybody. The upside is players will be aware of this and will hopefully do their best to get in but equally not lose their spot. I think Sparrow will go leaps and bounds and hold his spot. Viney may lose his again through injury and his issues may have been a contributing factor to Dunstans recruitment.
  7. I know we have Weid and Daw but I think that maybe a big young full forward is something we should consider. I think there has been a " Shortage" of them in the draft. Given the ages of Tmac and Bbb, looking ahead for continued success in five years time we should probably address this.
  8. Would love to see him in the middle but I think hes just too valuable down back at present. He has the strength, speed, confidence and presence of mind to break through tackles and packs. He's only just started so you never know. Perhaps his future is in latching onto Luke Jacksons taps, shrugging the odd tackle and roosting them 60 m through the middle.
  9. Looks more like a tea cozy or a Russian hat than a bird. As long as it lays eggs.
  10. The hairdos on the bottom pic suggests they would be better served by calling them Fritta.
  11. True but I think Baily would be hard to read as opponent as he is quicker than your standard traditional big tall forward and his leap makes him dangerous to play from behind. His recovery and roving skills are par excellence so if the ball goes to ground your in trouble as well. Basically he has the combined skill of a tall and small forward so I think Easton wood was probably second guessing himself. Fritta has also turned around his goal scoring accuracy by a mile. He is probably our most improved player and his teammates search him out with confidence like Harmes did in the third. Not bad for a bloke who a few years back could be rewiring your garage.
  12. Viney played well in the finals but with a full season under his belt he probably would have been better and on that basis I'm not sure we can claim it to be the best ever despite the brilliance of Trac and Oliver. Having said that there's still time for it to get even better. But it must be bloody close.
  13. My bad....ask a silly question...
  14. I live in Northern Wollongong. It's a real bastion of league these parts. I never find any Dees supporters. Last year I met a real estate agent that followed the tigers. I didn't care... I lowered myself and spoke to him about footy for eons NB...by lowered, I didn't mean because he was a real estate agent. Ps if any dees fans about please message me.
  15. Would have been by a mm or two if he did. Massive kick off one step...like the first goal of the game.
  16. Probably one of our most underrated players by opponents and media. He is an out and out gun and has stepped up big time to play a huge part of our flag success. Reads the play so well and finds teammates with pinpoint precision. Always in position early and ever reliable as a release valve down back. Strong hands, fast legs and great fitness. Never afraid to put his head down and his body on the line.
  17. It will be interesting to see how that comparison pans out. They are both great at ground level for their sizes with Luke seemingly better. Even though Luke has a great leap, Max has a big height advantage do he may fair better with hit outs and marking. But perhaps Luke is/will be faster and get to comps quicker. Luke has put on some muscle but Max still has more mass to use. Max has great leadership qualities that a young Luke may have but it's an unknown quantity as yet. In any event both great talents, both ours and playing both at the same time.
  18. Dare I ask if the chooks are named after players?
