  1. wouldn't surprise me to see the Saints grab him. Or even try to trade their pick like we did last year. to get 2 for one?
  2. I desperately want a trade for Shiel, & a tall 197cm key utility (Jaksch, doesn't have to be this year). And from this draft Petracca sounds great...... Along with the true small forward we need (Pickett), & also the midfielder-3rd-Tall Utility in (Lamb). somewhere around picks 8-15 ? I reckon these players would give us the difference, & versatility & class, onto our list to go along way to repairing our lacking 'Class'.
  3. yeah, terlich probably not. I want the suns picks for the draft. just getting desperate, & greedy. sorry about that chief.
  4. everyone is thinking of Petracca going at 3 or 4. Not so sure. He may go top 2. Then what would we do?
  5. Pick 3 (compo pick) anyway. trade P-3(compo pick) & Terlich, to GCS, for Kade Kolodjashnij & P-11
  6. looks good, cool in the mind leading to good decisions, but seems always out in space? whats her like under the pump, with close attention. is he accountable for his opponent?
  7. I don't want 2 young 18Yr old Mids, from the draft.... Shiel, who is raring to go;& a tasty bit of spring Lamb, who could play most spots & Mid as well, with height & run & dash..... Versatility in our first 2 pick selections, with strength, toughness, run, height, & marking.

  10. if we get a compo pick for Chipper, then Shiel as entre`, & young Lamb should our Main course.
  11. and I put him onto DTalia as well. & JCB is not a fool. he's a loyal & committed Demon Patriot.
  12. ah, the spontaneity of un-synthesized footy. Huh, the fun it was. I bleed for its return.
  13. I agree. If we had say P-5 & [6 compo]... then use P-5 on a semi ripe Mid, a bit like this kid > http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/pp-greater-western-sydney-giants--dylan-shiel And trade P-6 & maybe a Tapscott/Blease, on a key tall who plays both ends well, & has height, 195+, & agility, a bit like this kid > http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/pc-greater-western-sydney-giants--kristian-jaksch, # My trade fantasy would be to sign Chip Frawley, & then on-trade (Frawley & P-23), to the Gold Coast Suns on a 5Yr deal,,, for the GCSuns P-10 & P-12 . ... I'd look to trade P-6 & P-10 to GWS for a couple of players wanting to come home, hopefully (DShiel & CJaksch + GWS's end of 1st Rnd compo pick). Under these circumstances, we would be well off ourselves, heading into our future.
  14. we need both. if we end up with P-4 & 5,,,, or P-5 & 6, via compensation, then we trade, & visit the draft as well, just as we did last year. We get both a semi mature mid from trade, plus a pick... we also use our first pick in the draft on a young talent. .. 'the incoming traded pick' from the trade deal, we can on-trade, or use in the draft.
  15. thats true, but for a player who wants out of GWS to return home; a top 6 pick would get a deal done for a young player who hasn't yet scorched this Old Earth. for a Shiel or a Treloar. If your talking about Cameron, then a bit more for him.
  16. Not now that he's doing well down halfback, & helping setup play with his kicking & run. He's developing more versatility, & is showing he is prepared to work harder, & not just do the flash stuff. He's a keeper, unless GWS want to trade Cameron for him & a pick?
  17. can still be traded can't he? if the right deal came along?
  18. I think he is contracted til 2015.
  19. .... yep thats what I think, & also I reckon the thing they are shortest on is leadership & experience. Its holding the club back culturally, & the development of their players IMO, & holding onto those players which they really rate. Not enough wins happening. If GWS were able to pickup Fyfe by trading One of the Key players, who may want to be elsewhere; & If Fyfe wants the $$$$ & the challenge... its a Win/Win. Freo definately need to replace Pavlich & others, to increase their scoring ability. If Cameron wants to stay up there, why hasn't he signed on Now. the Giants would have already put the pen & paper to him for the last One & a Half seasons, I'm sure. Cameron for Fyfe ?
  20. true, but the Swans took Jetta back then. its not all for the now, some is for tomorrow.
  21. true, but the Swans took Jetta back then. its not all for the now, some is for tomorrow.
  22. Or would they be interested in Patton or Boyd? or Cameron???
  23. they need more speed, run & hard workers, apparently.
  24. both I think, they need better quality leaders up in the mature age bracket, & maybe also keep slowly adding from the draft as they go along. Obviously they would have known before their first intake of recruits that many would want to go home. A part of their plan would surely embrace this in trade form. I still think Chip could factor in here.
  25. True. But we do need to keep churning our hard insiders, we can't stop because we have some which are ok, near enough, should be not good enough. We have to keep on recruiting the best we can bring in, to keep the pressure on lifting the standards of output. we need both, as you say hard linebreakers, & hard insiders. In fact we need more 'Hard' everywhere. Nowhere near enough. still too much 'nice as pie' yet.
