WINNERS AND LOSERS by Whispering Jack ...
Unless the playing group makes an effort and demonstrates some pride in itself, then the team will continue to generate more depressing scenes such as those at this week's presser when they were even short of attracting the proverbial three men and a dog.
Gold Coast by 78 points.
Surely, this prediction alone confirms that this must be our worst season ever?

Is Gysberts working harder?

How about rivers ? That's right he left and we got gillies. How about gillies? Yeah...um...nah only problem is he is a pathetic excuse for a footballer .... Someone tell me I've got it all wrong....please ?!
You've got it wrong.
Rivers was completely demolished by Cloke on QB two years ago and we lost that game by 15 goals.

We now officially have two 426's.
Mitch Clark (foot) 4-6 weeks
Jack Grimes (shoulder) 4-6 weeks
Dean Terlich (ribs) - test
Jimmy Toumpas (ankle) 1-2 weeks
Jack Viney (foot) 2-3 weeks

Breaking News: Essendon admitting to ASADA that some of their players were taking the illegal AOD 9604.
Essendon admit to drug investigators some of its players took anti-obesity drug AOD-9604 last year
Does this mean that Vlad is going to break into a rage because the Bombers weren't open about this back in February and failed to fess up when the investigation was first announced? I mean, this is surely a major breakdown in governance that calls for the entire Essendon board to stand down in disgrace.

I don't take delight in being right. But I will say that the way some of you attacked me here was shameful.
A big win for Dees fans this afternoon.
Roll on the Revolution!
In what way are you right?

Not another Cameron Schwab thread.

it is true - i gave it to them! Sorry
Rubbish. We've already confirmed that Cameron Schwab was responsible for the flu and Jordie McKenzie's calf strain and everything else that goes wrong at the club. If it's not him, then it's McLardy or Neeld or the bootstudder. Take your pick but I'm really fickin mad at all of them. It's their fault. Bwah ...

Nice work after a 7 month witch hunt against the club that ended in a lunatic decision partly designed to save Vlad the embarrassment for setting the tanking controversy up in the first place.

You're onto something there. And we wonder why our club's stuffed.
A decade of squandering first round draft picks. That's why.
First thing I'd do is sack whoever recruited this Cook bloke with pick #12.
Next thing is I'd sack the board that appointed the recruiting bloke.
Anyone know their names?

You would be prepared to foot the bill, I assume?"If we lost". "If the judgment went against us". "Vlad would have done this". "Vlad would have done that". Fear. Fear. Fear.
The Collingwoods and Hawthorns would never have copped that bullsh1t for a second.
Anyone who can't see the surrender mentality permeateing through the club owing to such weak leadership is a lost cause I'm afraid.
-
A bit of momentum versus managing our most important players recovery. Pretty simple to me.
If that's the case then perhaps he should have played 3 or 4 more games at Casey.
Once you nominate for the senior side, you need to be match ready otherwise you're a liability.
-
Running a case in the Supreme Court against the AFL for a month would have cost us $1m and more if the judgement went against us. You would have been livid had we fought and lost. Range Rover would have blamed Schwab for not negotiating a settlement and Hazy would have been calling for the death penalty.
Vlad would have had us playing home games at midnight in Snake Gully.
Not smart.

I would be pretty sure that the club does record these games. After all, I'm sure someone reported earlier in the year that it was recording training sessions.

I reckon you are missing some...john Philips? I don't where I read it but was sure it was at least 10....
IN any case its not a recipe for stability....
John Phillips was acting CEO for a while after Ray Ellis' departure. That makes it about 8 in 12 years of what were mainly the Szondy/Gardner period. Too much instability during that period. What a legacy it left us?

Hopefully no one at Essendon ever looked 'ashed faced' cause thats apparently a sign of great misconduct!
Apparently, when the needles went into the players' stomachs a few of them were grim faced.
-
The entire population of Renmark is less than 5,000 so its a fair attendance even if you factor in the surrounding districts.
Of course, the fact that the game was broadcast on 5AA probably gave Port Adelaide supporters an excuse to stay home and listen to the game on their crystal sets.

So where do we sit on the NAB Cup ladder after all that?

From The Age:
"Just to reiterate ... employees of the Melbourne Football Club Dean Bailey and Chris Connolly
Aaargh ... don't tell me Bailey got himself a job at the club again,?
Please no!

The fact that someone tweeted this doesn't mean it happened.Just saw a tweet made by former Demonologist (and perhaps very occasional Demonlander) Graham Gaunt:
"Paul Gardner just got on @2GB873 and mentioned that@melbournefc and another club north of Sydney are rumoured on the issue. #sourgrapes ?"
Anyone else hear this?
I'd like some corroboration that Gardner said these things before I jumped to any conclusions about him or about what was alleged.

I guess we didn't come out with the chocolates and this was yet another of those bigfooty rumours that went horribly wrong?
$cully 3rd in GW$ B & F
in Melbourne Demons
Posted
And a truly remarkable achievement to finish 3rd in the b & f considering he wasn't in the best three for his team more than once or twice during the season.
I think it might have something to do with the unique voting system at GWS where they weight the votes by multiplying the score by each player's pay packet.
