  1. The fact that Jack Watts is the only player I can recall who dropped himself to Casey for a week suggests to me that not many players would share this view.
  2. Yep. I look forward to the day I can be an arrogant [censored] supporter like Richmond’s, banking wins before games.
  3. I’m loving your positivity Febes can I have some of your pills?
  4. Or go back to the old days a la soccer, whereby when you come off the ground, you can’t go back on. Have 6-8 on the bench.
  5. Yep, loved both of Charlie’s goals today (esp. Melkshams long kick to Spargo 30m clear in the fwd line). but perhaps my fondest memory today of Charlie will be of him really giving it to Cale Hooker in a heated stoush. The boys got a lot of heart, and a bit of mongrel. Great debut.
  6. All the talk around Weidemann is exactly the same talk around OMac 12 months ago. We need to get games into him now. Nobody would drop OMac now. Get Weids to the same level and we’re another step closer to top 4.
  7. Nothing typified Essendons day more than McGrath playing on at the 3 qtr time siren. Loved Levers reaction. I snorted coffee out my nose.
  8. Sammy Weidemann took some great pack marks in the second half, magic to see. and IIRC, Milkshake is a left footer, that banananana that he kicked in the left fwd pocket off his right foot was GOLD. an ugly win is still a win. Go dees.
  9. With all our long bombs into 50, I’m looking forward to seeing Weid, TMac and Jesse H all prowling around there. With Spargo, Hannan snd Fritsch also forward, not sure where Milkshake plays?
  10. I’m just not sure how you can have the mandatory half time kick of the footy in the street in the dark.
  11. Spot on Nasher. After I’d given up on blaming the umpires on Tuesday night for some howler decisions, and totally lost my voice, I just thought to myself “[censored] happens” for the rest of the night.
  12. Why bother taking the warm up T-shirts off?
  13. Based on our current game “plan”, Essendon’s poor showing on Wednesday, last years game and the short turnaround between games, I’m highly confident it will be a thoroughly entertaining affair of poorly executed skills, turnovers and howlers. There may even be a score or two, rushed behinds should do well as our third KPF. I’ve got no effing idea who will win, and have lost the will to watch.
  14. I’ll be looking to book September holidays. Stupidly I’ve put the family on notice and we’ve booked a June holiday instead.
  15. Love the ins, but I’m not over the moon with Harmes as the backup ruck (I suspect the coaches were hoping for a Jack Watts test ruckman result). I wonder if Weid will have a go at all.
  16. I don’t agree in this instance on them wearing a clash strip. We didn’t wear our clash strip (or white) for their home game last year. If it wasn’t for ANZAC day round then I’d have an issue, but I like that we’re both wearing our traditional strips this week. Also like both teams running out through the same banner. Classy.
  17. If I can bring my poorly executed golf swing to this conversation, I think Maxy has a bit of a hook and needs to kick for goal from further out to allow for the trajectory curve. Both misseshave been from less than 20m out, yet he’s kicked some crackers from 45-50.
  18. I for one can vouch for this training regime, I'm super fit.
