Who is our Forward coach?
We're consistently getting 60+ forward 50 entries per game, we actually need to focus on: 1. the quality of the ball going into forward 50 = lower the eyes = midfield coach 2. the speed of the ball coming back out of forward 50 and waltzing through the middle of the ground, putting pressure on pagans paddock behind the high press defense = midfield not working hard enough back defensively = midfield coach 3. Whoever is picking JKH to get a game = midfield coach? Who's the midfield coach?

My 3 word player analysis V Swans
I reckon Frosty did better than just break even. He can hold his head high. He didn’t kick half of the 18 behinds today.
-
What is the point?
I wasn’t too despondent when we beat the crowd by 91 points in the Alice. I’m pretty sure that was less than 20 weeks ago.

Frosty comes in from the cold!
Loved it when Frosty beat Buddy in the 1 on 1 in the 3rd and then burned him off to the roar of the MCC. I had high hopes for you today Frosty and you exceeded them.

Has Nicholls ever paid us a free?
Not usually in the camp of blaming the umpires, but Nicholls was frustrating me this arvo to the point of kicking seats at the G. He’d either: 1. Allow a non officiating umpire to call a free our way 2. Deem the contest halved, even if he’d just paid a free to them for the same thing 3. Give them a free, even if we’d done enough to win the free once or twice over before he could ping us third time up. We’ll never get a fair result with him at the helm. #cheatingbaldprick

Gawn's article in the HS 12/8/18
What a great article. We are truly lucky to have Gawny - it’s this caring and inclusive culture he refers to that is building a tight knit juggernaut that 90% of clubs would be envious of. When you look back only 5 years ago, the transformation across all levels of the club from board, admin to football dept is truly incredible.

Nibbler Playing For 2
That video of Nibbler popping out of the wheely bin and scaring Clarry was bloody funny.

Round 21 Non MFC Games
I find the two themes of (i) let's pray for a set of outcomes that gets us into the 8 and (ii) let's pray for a (riskier) set of outcomes that works towards us finishing highest possible place on the ladder and going all the way as quite amusing. I'm glass half full. I hope we have a decent win over Sydney, confirm our place in the finals and then the boys really knuckle down and play finals type football over the next couple of weeks against good opposition and possible opponents, knowing they're in the ballroom and a chance for the big dance if (i) we play good pressure footy, (ii) work hard defensively and (iii) get a fair dose of luck go our way for a change.

Round 21 Non MFC Games
But at least you'd get to see a fair bit of our boys Steve, being a Perth boy.

Annual Subscriptions Problem
Thank god for you Andy. I just enjoy this site for discussing my favourite topic with like minded people, without enough praise for the admin that goes on in the background to make it all possible. 3 votes to you mate.

Red Card Rule
In the world of soccer, where they haven't changed the rules in the last 50+ years (apart from introducing offside), the red card rule has stood up without question. Only the AFL seems to make a complete hash of these things. We'd only be looking at completely blatant (dog) acts where the send off would be called upon. I like the idea that the offending team is one player down as a result of that player's stupidity, it matches the loss of the opposition (if the victim can't come back on). If we had another Troy Simmons incident in the first 5 mins of a grand final, I'd be spewing.

Rd 20: Video of the Week
9 seconds end to end. If my maths is correct, we could have kicked 300,000 goals yesterday if we’d kept that up

Nicely summarised JB, I reckon you’re on the money.

POST MATCH DISCUSSION - Round 20
My first win for the year, most enjoyable (my MFCSS had me thinking that the dees losing was my fault for attending). Clarry is something else - his kick to Spargo was sublime, a couple of minutes later q1 at CHF he took a high ball in the air and ripped out a hand pass 0.5 seconds later whilst still airborne to create a goal - breathtaking. Joel Smith did some nice things, it was a shame to see him injured. There were a couple of times JKH needed to go and didn’t, his card is marked in my book. Ball into D50 in the 3rd qtr springs to mind that just hit the deck in between 3 defensive dees. It was Jays to cover. love Jeffy back in the side, he’s switched on at the moment, unpredictable and looks really dangerous. And loved Trac’s contested game today, he’s going to be key to the rest of our year. Its easy to see how we could have won that game by 25 goals, but a satisfying shellacking nonetheless. ?

Casey Demons v Northern Blues - Round 18
Sounds more like he’s NOT being moved strategically. Pumped he’s already nailed one and will be looked at as a forward contested marking prospect. Hoping for a big game from Dec
