  1. Casey Fields have at least two EFTPOS machines. One is located in the canteen/bar area of the main stand and one on the canteen on the far side of the ground. I didn't notice them last year, so they may only be recent additions. Just a piece of information for those that find reasons not to travel out to Casey, This is one less excuse to use.
  2. I went along today Mark as part of the Casey Demons/Melbourne supporter group. 4 of us had our picture taken with the team. As a supporter group we get invited to participate in the team photo shoot. All of us commented on your family photo and we loved the way the players lifted up your youngest son so he could actually be seen in the photo. It will certainly be a treasured memory.
  3. With free entry to the game at Casey Fields I'm not quite sure how you could predict a 'sell out'! However being the first Melbourne women's game should result in a reasonable crowd, though Brisbane won't have too many local supporters, so this will reduce numbers. I would anticipate approximately 5, 000, but would be staggered if they got anywhere near 10, 000. A NAB cup game a couple of years ago between Melbourne and Hawthorn, played at Casey, drew approximately 10, 000 and the place was packed, with no room for too many more to fit. This women's game is also on a Sunday evening, which could affect crowd numbers, with work and school the next day.
  4. Work has been carried out on the ground since the end of last year, though it did look fairly cut up when I saw it last in mid December. I have no doubts it would be considerably improved since then, but wonder whether the improvement will be enough for the AFLW women's match to go ahead on 5th February.
  5. Training for tomorrow the 25th has definitely been relocated again to Gosch's Paddock, due to the state of the ground at Casey Fields. The Casey Demons Supporter Group were going to hold a sausage sizzle, but the club informed us early this afternoon that training had been moved.
  6. 14, 12, 14 and 18. I obviously also found the 2nd quiz quite hard. There were plenty of choices that were 50/50.
  7. Really hope that we keep Cam Pedersen on our list next year. Great role player as he can play forward, defence and help Gawn out on the ball. I think Weideman still is a few years away from being a regular selection.
  8. Jake Spencer 82 hit outs! Is that correct? Thought he battled really hard all day.
  9. Daisycutter, you're probably right!
  10. Staggering how some people can criticize teachers and their supposed perks, yet have never taught in a school! Because we have all been to school we all have an opinion. It's the equivalent of me criticizing an electrician, for example, despite the fact I know little about the job and do not have the skills. Let's try to leave our comments to the football.
  11. Retired teacher since August last year, after 40 years. Been a Dees supporter since watching the '64 Grand Final.
  12. Daisy Pearce will be guest speaker at the Casey Demons Supporter Group breakfast on Wednesday 18th May, out at Casey Fields. Melbourne are training there from 9.30 am. Information and tickets are available from the Casey Demons Supporter Group website.
  13. Saw Hunt play a few times out at Casey last season and there were occasions where he looked really impressive. Good hands, pace and knows where the goals are. My only concern was he didn't seem to be in the play enough, going missing for long periods of time. Hopefully another pre season and starting fully fit will see him really fulfill his potential.
