  1. Are we talking "standards" or 'form'?
  2. You have missed the point! I'm asking you to name them!
  3. Do tell... you have data on staff culture?
  4. I also suggest that we would discover 'scallywags' on every AFL Club list consistent with the % of 'Scallywags' in this age group, society wide.
  5. I am holding my powder... that's why I haven't named anyone. I'm inviting others to take the shot!
  6. Does that fall into the 'dropped standards' or 'scallywag" category?
  7. These are the players I have in mind, Bowey, Fritsch, Gawn, Langdon, Lever, May, McDonald, Petty, Pickett, Rivers, Salem, Spargo, Sparrow, Viney, JVR, Judd, Windsor, Melksham, Howes, Hore, Chandler, Woewodin, Turner & Moniz-Wakefield. Do you notice poor standards anywhere? Are there any scallywags?
  8. Now add, JVR, Judd, Windsor, Melksham, Howes, Hore, Chandler, Woewodin, Turner & Moniz-Wakefield. Name the blokes on that list who have dropped their standards! All up, that's 24 players (I'm not counting 13 OR 5!)
  9. I'm looking up at the MFC Premiers poster om my study wall and I note that these following players remain on our list from that day. Bowey, Fritsch, Gawn, Langdon, Lever, May, McDonald, Oliver, Petracca, Petty, Pickett, Rivers, Salem, Spargo, Sparrow, & Viney. Ok, name the blokes (other than our four-time B&F winner) listed who have dropped their standards since winning a flag!
  10. When I read what some have said about Gary Pert here, you would think he started life in 2023! In the interests of providing a full picture of his VFL/AFL life, I have listed some key moments. Gary Pert VFL schoolboys tour of Ireland 1981 Made his senior debut in 1982 as a 16 year old 163 games for Fitzroy State of Origin team in 1984 as an 18 year old VC for Fitzroy in 1988 70 games for Collingwood Played for Victoria 6 times AA team 1985 Fitzroy Best & Fairest 1989 Fitzroy Team of the Century CEO of Collingwood 2007 – 2017 CEO of Melbourne 2018 - That makes him CEO of two Premiership teams! I make that 43 years of decorated service so far!
  11. Given the likelihood that Christian will move on in 2026, tied with the proposition that this move will generate favourable trade options for us, I am currently in the 'let's maximise his trade value bucket'!
  12. I was against having an external review (I was never against an internal review). I'm a 'close ranks when under fire' sort of person and when we were being bombarded from all quarters, I preferred to trust those we have in official elected/appointed positions. However, I acknowledge the strong feelings of many MFC supporters and ex-players and ex-officials, who think that an external review is required. I haven't seen a transcript of what Nathan Jones has said, but he is the tipping point for me... bring it on!
  13. I'm pleased that the July 1st, post ICU, interview on the MFC site was aired on OTC. I think it was first quoted on DL by Demon Dynasty. I've been spreading it far and wide since. I tried to encourage Gerard Whately to refer to it on Saturday morning after his acidic diatribe against MFC office bearers but couldn't get through. Thanks again DD.
  14. It is difficult to comprehend the dichotomy between what Ralphy is reporting and this statement by Christian: "I make no apologies for wanting to better our club and contribute to our success both on and off the field".
  15. If that is the case, it seems rather erratic behaviour if placed in context with other things Christian has said publicly since the injury.
  16. The most interesting point in Wilson's monologue is that Kate Roffey discussed with Smith, two weeks ago, his coming on board and possibly taking over from her as President... Before the so-called 'train wreck' interview with Whateley... Before Morris called her position untenable (hinting at a possible racist point of view she expressed about players getting homesick) It seems Kate, after 8 years on the MFC Board and three years as President, has managed her own exit according to her own priorities.
  17. Chill! It's only an attempt at humour!
  18. There are nearly as many improbable assumptions here as you would find in a Tom Morris exclusive!
  19. Dante’s Peak 11: A do-gooder football supporter arrives at a football club recently named as having the best culture for 40 years and fails to notice that a two-bit media journalist concocts a story to get as many clicks as possible on social platforms.
  20. It's about his appreciation for the support he received from the Club. It's recorded three weeks after his injury and very soon after he exited ICU. It will still be relevant ten years from now! It's a crystal-clear record of how he felt at the time. Remember, this is the exact time that the negative mainstream media built their case about his supposed disgruntlement!
  21. Christian Petracca rehab.mp4
  22. I continue to encourage every supporter to watch “A sit down with Christian Petracca”, an interview posted on the official MFC site three weeks after Tracc got injured. Overlooked by mainstream media because it doesn’t fit their preferred narrative!
  23. In late news, Damian Barrett has said that the whole Petracca/Contaldo mix up could have been avoided if the MFC CEO and President had picked up the phone and spoken to Contaldo’s family about whether he was still living in Italy!
