My line up, based on seeing them at training and everything else on Foxtel. The coverage at Craigieburn was not up to the usual AFL quality. B: Garland Dunn Jetta HB: Bugg T Mac Salem C: Viney Vince Tyson HF: Watts Pedo Kent F: Garlett Hogan Frost Foll: Gawn Jones Brayshaw Bench; Oliver, Harmes, AVB, Kennedy Harmes, he looks like Robbo, enigmatic and can pick up a ball and kick it (not a KPI at draft camp) Stretch, ANB, both solid, need some size, Petracca will go through Casey, Grimes not too far away. Wagner & M King, they were giving game time to see how they reacted. Good inspiration for training. I like O Mac, he will be there in a couple of years. And we are much better when we have McDonald brothers in the side. Trengove, he's coming and move over when he does! I can't wait for it, he is the heart of this team!

To the ears of the football gods ...

I heard he was faster than Pat Cash over 10 metres. -
Love the heart of Grimes. He stood up in the darkest of times and we should support him as much as we can. Saying that, his disposal or confidence with disposal has caused a few "arrgg" moments. C'mon Grimesy show them that you can do it!

That was one of the more intelligent articles from Jon Pierik. Talking about how you measure the players in terms of league player and paying overs. Finally something tangible. David Schwartz was correct in that some of those players back then should've given the money back. In 2013 having 13 players was generous. I thought we had 12 last year (2015). This year I'm undecided, I'll to a few more training sessions, maybe 18 players. If Paul Roos would like to stay in another capacity, we is more than welcome. Give him an office, phone and a Demons shirt, stay on, please Paul. I have every confidence in Goodwin, and having Paul around who has proven he can work with others and step aside. If only some others could do the same (ex-PMs) included.

My apologies Jako, Simmonds. I took the often sought way out after that match and drowned it until 2001 -
I heard Viney made Chuck Norris cry

JT looked really good, bulked up in the shoulders and still has his skills. The only thing he needs to work on is his running and that will come with kilometers. He is the heart of this club, the middle band of players all remember him being drafted and what he has been through. Imagine you standing there in the square, the ball about to be bounced and you look around and see him, knowing what he has been through to get there. you are going to do the hard things to get the ball and the win. No doubt about it

The hit on Troy Longmuir by Michael Long early is unforgivable! -

Tarkyn: Hey Sav, they're kicking it low and to the player on the lead Sav: Can we do that? Tarkyn: Yeah but we need some more young players from other clubs? -

I arrived just before 10 and saw Watts and Trac rolling the ball around the body, between the legs, behind the back, neck then handball. good drill. Then handball drills and boxing. Trac is a strong lad. He also has some choice comments for those around him. Watts had his quad taped. Viney, god help anyone who gets in his way in a game. He has the skill, aggression and position we need. Tmac was a little surprised by the intensity, Dunn was laughing. The sound of Tmac's head hitting the ground wasn't good. I was a little surprised by Viney going on with it. Its good to have some intensity and the boys are working on it. Tmac was later on Hogan in the match simulation. It was like watching two greats go for it. Hogan's hands are really good, Tmac's stretch and positioning and strength are something to watch this year. Oliver and Salem running laps. I didn't see my son's favourite Bernie Vince out there, maybe I missed him. It was different in match simulation from those who did well in drills. Captain Chunk was great in the sims with Gawn. Viney took the first two taps away, then Captain Chunk. Garlett has a switch that knows when to go. Dom Tyson is moving well, he has confidence and looked really good. First time I really saw White and liked his prospects for Round 1. The low kicking in the forward line looked great. They hit the target without the forward deviating from the line too much. This was really exciting. Kicking to a lead. ANB looks better than last year, more size and conditioning. Richie VB will dominate again, lock him in for round 1. he has learnt positioning and will only get better. Dawes looks more comfortable leading up the ground, CHF and wing and centre. he has clean hands off the deck and the kick handball or kick is a good option for him. He also had the two young forwards with him on the side for about 20 mins showing them lead and mark. The highlight of the session was seeing No.9 J.Trengove running and kicking. He participated in the full field drills and he still knows how to mark, kick and pick up a ball. He has bulked up and is learning to run with speed again. It was great to see! Left around 11.30am, just before set shots. Stretch left early. There -
I remember when they used to have mud in July. The games all look the same from up North and out west.

When the AFL seek to 'protect' the brand, it ceases to be a game that has passion. They are treating it like a business and people(fans/players) don't follow businesses, they follow passion. People expect fair according to the rules. They also understand that there are unfair moments, not everything ends in a fairytale. And not everything can have a clause "because it makes great viewing" The fans are not stupid and don't like to be handled.

Gil inherited the mess. Not even Houdini could get out of that one.

And N. Jones with no tatts

The Darwin game with Watts (had some some skills), Scully (never seen), Junior (great player), Trengove (just picks up the ball and the handball king!), Dunn (glad he stayed), Bates (no clean possession, but good position). I can't wait to get Trengove back, he;s coming and I am for one looking forward to it. It was good to see Ant and James and the Febeys.

special like Scully?

Pike was in the backline. I agree with M. King in the ruck. Garland will be great this year, no matter where we play him. -

I like the idea of this, watching Foxtel replays over the last month and seeing how good Carey was, except the time he laid M. Febey out, off the ball, he was a thug. The water training is a great idea, there is a car wash on the other side of Punt Rd from Gosch's paddock. Could be a good place to train, not too far to travel. I'm not sure where you get the rest of the back line from? Frost is FB, T-Mac will star at CHB and Dunn will play Back pocket, picking up the third tall and looking like Martin Pike in Brisbane's trio. Salem and the rejuvenated Grimes will run off half back. Jetta to fill the other pocket/small forward position. A very solid looking backline! Go Dees -
Jack has a big heart and with what he has gone through, his late 20s will be a force for the Mighty Dees........ He strikes me as a player who learns from their experience and won't waste a single minute once he gets back out on the park. It is just a matter of time, I'm looking forward to it!

I like how everything Eddie suggests benefits Collingwood. You can be sure the Collingwobbles will be finishing 13th and still make the finals.

Brent was invited down by the club for Day 8 -
Yes, no where to be seen

Reading this brought a tear to my eye. We will again, sat those names White, Viney and the McDonald brothers and it will be great
-
Let's get him, at the end of the year

Wines had the mature body, Toumpas didn't. A big difference to the immediate playing team. If you don't have the size, it doesn't matter how much talent you have. You'll just get pushed off the ball. Years of watching Cale Morton has shown this.
