Who wins the flag from here?
If I mortgage the house and put my money on the field, would it pay out a free fish n chip dinner for the family?

Oliver Trade Rumours
Disclaimer: I'm not advocating trading Clarry, I do have a question though: Is Adelaide going to put their pick 4 and 22 on the trading block? Something would have to go pear shaped in the relationship from here to October for us to do it, but it does give some pause for consideration if pick 4 and 22 is involved. It would be a massive FORK in the road moment. A real 'rebuild by stealth' - The one we're apparently doing is a bit of a firfy. We've played some kids with potential, but I think you need t go into 1 or 2 more drafts with 2, 3 or 4 high pieces to be anywhere close to 'rebuilding' be it by stealth or not. we're not Geelong, we don't have a home fortress that will keep us contending for a decade. At some point you make a big decision and trade a few players who have currency. Are we at that moment remains to be seen imo. If we're going after Dan Houston, then probably not. And I don't see the likelihood of Port taking a Future 1st or anyone but a contending team this year, departing with Pick 12-18 for it. So it leaves the club with Houston for next year and that's it. Still: #4, #9, #22 and Pick in the teens does make you think about the paths you can take in in producing a rebuilt flag threat for when Tracc and Max are in their low-mid 30's

NON-MFC: Round 20
Should put us behind GCS & Coll on percentage before they've even played . I think at that point we play MJ, trial Verral, and whoever else and ensure we get Pick 6.

Ned Moyle
Confirmed playing together lol. Let's see how the big boys do up forward!
-
Ned Moyle
Was mentioned by Montagna on 360. He thinks the Suns should go with two rucks and Moyle as a key forward with stints in the ruck to be a point of difference, given they're stuck with the same high inside 50/lower conversion disease we had for the last few seasons. "He's got a bit of Sam Darcy about him, he may not come with the credentials or be quite as good, but if he can take big marks like this, he can be an anchor for them to kick to, give them a reference point for the smalls" - showed some pretty great contested marks too. Anyway, one to watch against Lions and beyond, if he can play with Witts upon return from injury.

Dan Houston
With "10 years to give" Houston is 28 next year. How can he possibly be worth two firsts? He's not Bontempelli
-
Dan Houston
It's always two firsts when it's the Dees needing to come up with something. FFS what did WE get for Luke Jackson again, a player who had 10 years to give? Is Houston a comparable player? 🤦♂️

Expected Score Ladder 2024
The finals are going to fantastic this year. Glad to be back on board to watch neutral footy (hopefully) without the Pies in September. How far can Freo, Dogs and Cats go are my curiosities? (And of course the Dees if we make it lol) Hawks are such a wild turn of events, I can't comprehend them getting there and doing something, it's too weird. Get back down the bottom please. I was listening to Hoyney and he still puts Carlton and Sydney MILES ahead of every other team in scoring from turn overs the most important stat for winning a flag. But Sydney has had a very average month and Brisbane are climbing . You can't go past any of those 3 teams to be there on GF day at present I think. But who knows.

Dan Houston
Wherever we finish this year, we'd back ourselves next year with a fully fit list and some additions like Houston, to make that 1st a late pick in the teens. Therefore a Future 1st for Houston? I don't watch any Port/Neutral footy lately to know if he's worth it, but it seems better than the likelihood that we will currently end up with a pick 8-10 or so, if missing finals. And putting that on the table. But make an elimination or semi then I guess we'd trade that Pick 11-14?
