I thought that was hilarious... Clearly the ump forgot who Gil wanted to win for a split second and actually was umpiring that contest on its merit. What umpire changes their mind like that during a decision... And just says oh sorry. I really don't think I'll be watching the AFL within the next year or two with what Gil and Hocking are doing to the game. And this is coming from a guy who was so AFL obsessed I got my first job so I could pay for Foxtel out of my own money because my parents wouldn't pay for it so I could watch each and every game week on week out, all whilst my team were lucky to win 3 games a year. I used to be so passionate about this game, now it just looks and feels corrupt, I feel sorry for the kids who have to grow up watching this mess.

Imagine a GF being decided by that free kick? These are the exact reasons why umpires need to be given suspensions. He clearly does not know or understand the rules , he is not fit to complete his job correctly. There is no excuses with frees like that, he was 3 metres from the ball with no obstructions in his view.

I got my brother coming up from Melbourne today so I'm not watching but I like going to the sports bar at the Southport sharks. I hear the new sports bar at the star is pretty decent too.

Short memory... Viney at is best is an absolute beast of a midfielder.... He is one of our captains, who 25, had an injury plagued 2-3 years and was performing at an elite level in last years finals series only 12 games ago... Get his body right, with some continuity in training and playing and we will see him lift very quickly back to the player we know he can be.

I think 12 wins will have you a game clear in the 8 this year with 8th spot being on 11 wins. Due to our % we will need to be on 12 wins minimum which means 9 out of the last 10. Won't happen unfortunately
