In the past a mid 2nd rounder would be worth little to GWS as they might not even use it, or for another team its a roll of the dice that someone you rate as a first rounder slips through. Now it has serious value for GWS and some others (this year at least) because it might significantly reduce the ongoing cost of an academy player even though there's no players you actually really like at that stage of the draft anyway (this year at least). So Tomlinson for our 2nd rounder most years would be a carp offer, but this year it would look very appealing to GWS. So in that way, the northern academies can really work in our favour, if we're smart. Just saying. Love the idea of Tomlinson btw.

Funny, cos Geelong think it's them or Adelaide, based on what Motlop says he wants.

Christ, he's built like a bouncer at Oktoberfest.

Shockingly expected, but good news nonetheless. Carry on.

Stef would be a good fit with the bulldogs, let him go there. Good luck to him.

I think your post illustrates your poor understanding of the concept of "getting in another forward's way"... It's not about contesting for the same mark - if you're in the vicinity, you should be expected to contest regardless of the circumstances. It's about not interfering with your teammate's leading patterns and maintaining space between you, rather than dragging your defender close to another forward, allowing a 3rd man up or "help defence" when it goes to him.

JK has eyes on the bears to be close to his bro.

Credible? Cover?

Good mates with Byrnes actually. Has precious few mates left at Geelong after the T Selwood thing (both having it off with the same bird, she chose the guy still on a list, most chose to side with the skipper & he obv chose blood).

Probably not a great metric for determining a person's "football intelligence".

Harrison Witg. Yuk.

Poor OP. Anti-Collingwood bias showing embarrassingly.

He was the best they could find that was also desperate enough to get involved in this sordid mess.

Don't say that. The Judd deal held Carlton back. I think Roos was openly trying to put MFC on the shortlist for any guns open to a change of scenery. He's done pretty much the same thing the last 2 post-seasons.

Thing is, Dangerfield would cost us nothing more than cap space, and our capability to "overspend" would indicate we had that in spades. We won't always, but we do now, so I say we front load like a mofo.

Interesting the woman Balmey was emailing re: payment to Dank was actually Kelly's wife-to-be.

I do know that Geelong are supremely confident that he will leave the crows, and are convinced they'd be his choice of destination. I fear for them that they may be putting too much stock in old opinions, and fail to realise that they are no longer a "destination" club, visibly on the slide. It makes me smile.

I was happy to see him go for fair compensation, but I now think I'd prefer to keep him.

So both you and someone who created an urban dictionary entry don't understand the word "though"... Cool story though.

We shall see. I'm just as interested as any to find out how correct my "intel" proves to be.

Or alternatively they could be trying to squeeze more money out of MFC. Could be anything.

Enright likely to go (at his own discretion), Stokes, Johnson & Kelly have already been tapped on the shoulder.

DL voting as a KPI? Oh dear...

Prestia didn't even make the announcement. It's just player manager posturing.
