  1. So what another Jordie Mckenzie? Yeah nah. His disposal is very poor. Michie and Newton are ahead of him in my opinion.
  2. My PB for a 3km is 11:23 and im probably just borderline at a AFL standard midfielder. Wheres up here in the bush im basically top 3.The fact and reality is 15 minutes in a 3km is very poor especially if your a midfielder at AFL level when they train 6 days a week full time. You seriously need to get with the times if you think that time is acceptable. . Supporters accepting mediocrity at its best.
  3. Oh well good to hear. Was absolutely gobsmacked if that was the case.
  4. 15 mins for a 3k is pretty poor. Hopefully he improves it on friday.
  5. Pretty sure Toumpas was a half forward wingman for the eagles. While Salem played a lot of his TAC cup as an on baller he was only rotating off half and midfield in the championships. So maybe his exposure there might be limited but I did call for Salem to rather be used off a half back then a forward last year. Get the ball into his hands as much as possible. Seriously think he was wasted up forward. I too would love to see Toumpas off half back. Again get the ball into his hands as much as possible. Seriously the last couple of years our main distributers of half back has been Grimes Terlich and Garland.. Doesn't fill anyone with a lot of excitement. I think Viv can be quite versatile his game against North off a half back quite exceptional and I was really impressed.
  6. Sorry but I disagree with the part of being exposed. Because the exposure I saw with Michies kicking skills were that they hit their targets majority of the time. Go and watch the GWS and West Coast game up in Perth and you will see he was hitting long targets 40m away. You gave me 20 names that you mentioned were were far better kicks then Viv. I picked holes because to prove to you that your myth of ''20 blokes that are far better kicks then Viv'' is just plain wrong. Then you say he hits easy straight forward targets.. err so does Lumumba, JKH, Toumpas, Tyson, King Jones and so on out of your list of 20 that are supposable better kicks. Rohan Bail and Dean Terlich every now and then struggle to hit a target 20m out.
  7. Ok but if he isn't a backmans [censored] but Toumpas and Salem are?Toumpas has never even played half back at his time at the Dees and neither has Salem so I don't know where you base that on
  8. Lol Garland? while a good defender he can turn it over a bit coming out of defence. Viney needs to work alot on his kicking. He is exactly like Nathan Jones was early his career. Please.. Petracca and Brayshaw needs to polish up their kicking both were in the 60% disposal effiency in the under 18s champs and so does Stretch aswell. Watch their highlights. Kent while a good kick on the run for goal he too is another that just needs to polish up his field kicking. I would put him in the same category as Dom Tyson. To compare his kicking to Terlich was outrageous, to then compare it to Bail is laughable.
  9. Just back on topic it wouldn't have hurt the MFC website to take a couple of photos of yesterday's training.. its sad we have to rely on blokes like six6six to keep us posted with his fantastic shots.
  10. He kicked 62 goals with that midfield that finished last in 2013..Whats your point?
  11. Meh excuses.Jeremy Cameron has played with a midfield that are still in high school yet didn't stop him from kicking up to 60 goals. And he was the only key forward that they had at the time. So no forward support and no decent midfield around. Brad Green in 2010 kicked 55 goals from absolutely no extra forward support and not much midfield depth aswell. We had a decent enough midfield his year. His problem is he has brick hands and doesn't stick his arms up. 2nd forward or first we paid him to kick goals and he isn't doing enough of it. Again a big 2015 is a must for Dawes. Love his character and leadership he provides. But on field he isn't doing enough.
  12. A big hulking 193cm 103kg forward and you are happy with his 20 goals from 18 games?Sorry but when you paying a big premiership forward 500k a year I expect a far more better output then this. Too much accepting mediocrity. Its quite simple he really needs to step up.
  13. Agree. While Dawes has provided the on/off field leadership we lacked his on field output has been disappointing.Needs a big year next year. He has slimmed down, doing his first full pre season in years, will have Hogan and Garlett next to him so I expect atleast the 40 goal mark this year.
  14. If he was stiff in the back then the right option would have to just rest him. They made a blue and it shouldn't happn again. And im sure it won't.
  15. Wouldn't be surprise if its only back spasms by the sound of it.I know the physios do a fantastic job but they got the Hogan one wrong last year and it cost him a whole year. Should have just rested him. It was only NAB cup. Im sure they will be extra cautious with him this summer.
  16. Toumpas/Cross If its one bloke Toumpas could learn off in terms of work ethic and experience its Daniel Cross. Loving this.
  17. The two AIS boys are Josh Schache who is from my way. He is the son of late Lawrence Schache who played for Fitzroy. 196cm 90kg key forward who is expected to go top 10 in this years draft. An exciting prospect. One to watch. And Kieran Collins from Dandenong Stingrays. 192 key forward or back.
