Max Gawn - Slow start
He may have had a slow start to the year (has slow starts every year) but he's certainly not slowing down anytime soon. Keep this form up and he's on his way to being a 6 x All Australian.

Angus Brayshaw
I think there has been little snippets here and there, but if I take Brayshaw on face value he seems to enjoy playing a variety of roles. Behind closed doors might be a completely different story.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Not a contract discussion, but has anyone noticed Jacko is really starting to clunk his marks around the ground? First time I've really noticed him taking a few intercept marks down back ala Max Gawn style.

JJ has really surprised me with how good he's playing the wing role. His work rate and defensive ability is elite imo. It's no wonder Adem Yze rates JJ extremely highly.

Yep, I'd be looking to drop Spargo to be honest. Has barely fired a shot this year and reckon his defensive work has dropped off. Think you'll find Pickett is getting the extra hard tag this year compared to last year. When you've just come off a 40 goal year as a 2nd year small forward in a premiership team then you're absolutely prone to get a hard tag. I have no issues with kozzie forms because he's giving elite pressure the other way. The offensive stuff will eventually fall into place.- POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide
Mids were too busy going one ball too many which then cause turn over. I know mids are just as much to blame but both Weid ans McDonald barely got to enough contests to bring the ball down.- POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide
[censored] you Melbourne. That was a trash display of footy. Had the opportunity to really put the foot down but instead we tried to be too cute with our ball use going forward. 3 weeks in a row now that we've just played sloppy and let opposition back into the game. Are McDonald and Weideman actually for real?? 2nd week in a row where they've had opportunity to cement their spot while Brown is out and both failed miserably. Both could barely give a contest or bring the ball to ground. Sooner these two are phased out for good the better. Petracca is a star and all but [censored] hell he's sloppy and selfish at times. Thank God for Steven May.- GAMEDAY: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide

Had the pleasure of watching Damien play footy for Ardmona one day. On this day he kicked 13 goals. He is a country footy legend and is well known to kick kick over 100 goals wherever he goes. A lot of local people you speak to in Shepparton will say Damien was the better footballer then Adem.- GAMEDAY: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide

Both Jordon and Sparrow are playing their role perfectly. They won't be subs.- CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide
Can't say I agree. Tmac up forward hasn't fired a shot since before last year's finals series. He's not living up to his worth as a forward and his game will be judged on that alone and not whether he can go back. Let's not forget that Tmac was in this exact same position back in 2020 and the coaching staff did not have any issues in dropping him. He'll play this week which annoys me but only because Brown will be a little underdone.- CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide
Why- CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide
To me he looks heavy again like he did back in 2020. Slow and struggles to turn again. He's not covering the ground like he was early parts of last year. I was surprised we signed him for an extra 2 years.- CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide

Jacob Van Rooyen was pictured as training in today's main training session. I thought initially he missed the VFL due to health and safety protocols but seems like he wasn't.- What They Are Saying at Alberton
Reading this triggers me 2012-2013 era......- CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide
I think training condition needs to be taken into account with Ben Brown. All good and well to say that he can just jump on a treadmill, but a main training session with high intensity work usually goes for at least 2 hours? It's then the weights, captains run etc that also adds us. I think it's a risk in itself but then watching Tom McDonald who was a clear worst on ground Friday night makes me think that BB could not play any worse then what tmac did if they did decide to play him.- Welcome to Demonland Kynan Brown
Kynan Brown has made the official Oakleigh Chargers squad this year as a bottom age prospect. Is eligible for father son next year. Oakleigh will be quite strong this year and young Kynan was named emergency for today's win against Sandringham Dragons. From what I have been told, Kynan is around the 180cm mark and is a tough midfielder who goes in hard. - CHANGES: Rd 05 vs GWS
