AFL TRADE NEWS AND RUMOURSĀ
Like Oliver he's clean inside the contest and his vision is also very similar. Just a typical midfield brute who plays similar to say Josh Kennedy from the Swans. Has a solid vertical leap on him which gives him a chance to take some good marks also. I would say if there was one thing he could work on it was his outside game? Quite one dimensional but so was Oliver in his under 18s year. He's worked incredibly hard and now has the perfect balance. He's definitely your Simon Goodwin/Jason Taylor type pick. Smith won the Bushies best and fairest in his last year back in 2018 so he definitely had the credits in the bank as well as his impressive Vic Country performance.

PF: Melbourne vs Geelong
All good points mate. It's certainly the MFCSS kicking in for me. Certainly think the battle will be won in the midfield and defence for us to break away. I also think we'll take a lot out of round 23. I watched highlights from that game and I think May will play a good lock down role on Hawkins. Few times Hawkins used his smarts to get away from May. I also would hope we've tightened our stoppage work also. Hearing Yze on radio yesterday say they'll put considerable time into making sure it doesn't happen again gives me some confidence.

AFL TRADE NEWS AND RUMOURSĀ
Yeah it will. They have another kid who I had some time while working with the Murray Bushrangers and that's Ely Smith. 188cm 90kg inside midfield bull who the Lions have been trying to fit into their team, but his own injuries, and Lions having a healthy on ball brigade has impacted this. (Melbourne showed considerable interest in Smith but didn't last to our pick) One to watch. Oh haha.. such a Mitch Robinson response though. Certainly spread like wild fire.

For a ruckman he was very fluent. Well ahead of his time.

AFL TRADE NEWS AND RUMOURSĀ
Well it's not.. They'll drop a few spots down the ladder, but will still make finals. If anything its good for them. He'll be 29 next year and for a bloke that racks it up a fair bit he doesn't really have any hurt factor. He's also part of their slow on ball brigade that's been killed by top sides due to their lack of pace. They'll get a good 1st rounder and there's a bloke by the name of Deven Robertson who'll step straight into that role after another good solid pre season.

AFL TRADE NEWS AND RUMOURSĀ
Huge story that's just been announced, but Lachie Neale has asked for a trade back to Fremantle due to family reason.

His kicking action is so fluent and clean. Trust me coming from someone with junior coaching development experience, to see that at his age and that height is such a rarity.

If anyone wants to catch a glimpse of young Kalani from his grand final today, go onto Jeff whites instagram and take a look at some highlights he's uploaded. While it's early and a lot of water to go under the bridge, kid is showing some serious talent..

Will Nathan Jones get a farewell game?
I think so too.

Really rate Montagna. He's changed my whole perception of him as a footy analysis. Very sharp, and a good footy brain.- Adam Cerra
We have a future first?- Adam Cerra
Great Intel mate. Do you mind me asking who was present from our end? Goody? Yze? My other question if Cerra does nominate Melbourne, is their a likely chance if we cannot find a suitable deal he either goes to the PSD, or nominates another Vic based club that is suitable to freo? I believe Cerra's management is the same as Petracca's?- PF: Melbourne vs Geelong
Every single Sunday Footy Show panellist except Billy tipped Melbourne to win. Without even a hesitation... Why does that make me even more nervous š¤®- PF: Melbourne vs Geelong
They still put themselves in that position each year. Regardless of the win loss ratio it's still a bloody good achievement. It's hard enough to make finals. So? Every club has a home ground advantage. Are they not allowed too?- Welcome to Demonland: Taj Woewodin

The whole bigger crowd neutral crowd thing is one of the biggest myths in footy. Perfect example was last night.- PF: Melbourne vs Geelong
I know some on here are pretty confident against the cats, but for me I just have this uneasy feeling that losing twice to us during the season won't sit well with this Geelong outfit. Scott is a very smart and tactical coach. They would have taken so much learnings out of the last game and I expect a much sound response. They've also improved their side since the last round. They'll have Duncan, Touhy and potentially Higgins. Watched Touhy Friday night and he just makes them so much better off half back and wing. I have it in the back of my head that it was only 3 weeks ago this same Geelong team were 44 points up. So when up and going they can be at their deadly best. The other thing to look at is their track record at optus stadium is actually pretty good. Much better record then ours. I know they are a bit banged up, but they always seem to find a ways to get into this position. Their finals record under Scott is phenomenal even though the wins haven't been on their side.- Gus & Gawney Podcast - special guest Simon Goodwin
Haven't really watched many episodes this year but decided to with Goody being a guest. That last cheeky question with the Edwards or McLeod thing was such a good stitch up. Loved it by Maxy.- PF: Port Adelaide vs Bulldogs

They're building a bit if a reputation aren't they.. They certainly had plenty of chances tonight, but were so wasteful with their forward entries. Reckon they'll drop a few spots next year. Guys like Birchall, Robinson, Zorko, Rich and Lyons will all be over 30 next year and are slowing down. They have some good quality young players coming through, but I think they'll be around the bottom half of the 8.- PF: Port Adelaide vs Bulldogs
Fox Footy were saying just before that Cody Weightman could potentially play because he was subbed due to a head knock but not ruled as concussion? Did anyone see that?- PF: Melbourne vs Geelong
