  1. Slightly off topic but relevant for those who’ve been harangued or abused by opposition supporters: Some years ago we were playing the Magpies and as inevitability has it, I was surrounded by evil opposition supporters. I’m pretty sure we were being trounced so when I made a negative comment aloud about a Collingwood player all hell broke loose. A Collingwood player , Lockyer, was awarded a free kick and without hesitation I called out, ‘ get a real name Tarquin ‘(his actual first name ) I thought it was a pretty harmless request, but fists were raised in my direction not to mention the profound umbrage and verbal aggression that spewed forth . At a quiet moment I let myself out😱
  2. You forgot: 3 votes / Carlton C… Judd
  3. I actually DID add it but it’s appeared on a repeat thread: Some important involvement
  4. Gawn - beast at play Pickett - please never leave Langdon - great second half Salem - rarely wasted disposals Melksham - genius at work Rivers - impressive all game Petracca - dominant second half Oliver - amazing tagging game Bowey - maintained impeccable form Lindsay - mature beyond years McDonald - another outstanding performance Langford - great second half Sparrow - great tagging performance May - reminiscent of yesteryear McVee - efficient and effective Petty - competed with courage Spargo - didn’t effect result Fritsch - found his position Windsor - surprisingly poor disposal Sharp - didn’t take chances Johnson - justified soccer training Turner - some valuable involvement
  5. Time to be proactive and try to win the match: Turner forward and Petty back. Fritsch on for Spargo
  6. On paper, the currently listed setup must be the shortest forward line EVER
  7. Will our sponsors be willing to reinvest in a team that has limited exposure?
  8. Hawthorn - most hatable players Umpires - consistently proven incompetent Fitness staff - seemingly non existent Gawn - couldn’t dominate enough Pickett - regularly overran ball Bowey - continued to excel Langford - exciting and brave Petracca - prolific without hurting McVee - loose and careless Windsor - great until last Turner - wasted in defense Langdon - few positive possessions May - tried but limited Rivers - seemingly going backwards Spargo - waste of space Chandler - very limited performance McDonald - continued impressive year Sparrow - rarely noticed again van Rooyen - disappointed yet again Sharp - some limited disposals Lindsay - was rarely noticed Oliver - not a tagger Fritsch - continued being irrelevant Jefferson - just an amateur Tholstrup - limited game time
  9. Not much to disagree with there
  10. From the horses mouth, just now. The Ox’s son, who is 20, has no interest in pursuing AFL football 🤦‍♂️😱😰
  11. Gawn - continues to astound Viney - wonderful tagging performance Petracca - creative and impressive Chandler - excellent second half Turner - versatile and valuable Langford - prolific without dominating Rivers - reliable and safe Windsor - not convincing defensively Pickett - surprisingly limited output Langdon - better second half Bowey - not as convincing Melksham - experience was everything Tholstrup - little to admire McDonald - continued to impress Spargo - had little involvement Salem - was rarely convincing May - limited but important Fritsch - almost invisible again McVee - will get better Lindsay - steady and reliable Sparrow - was rarely noticed Sharp - one clever goal Petty - quiet before injury
  12. For the record Guerra is being interviewed at 4pm today on SEN
  13. Gawn - superlatives are insufficient Viney - impressive tackling game Salem - prolific and creative Bowey - all Australian form Petracca - dynamic without dominating Rivers - excellent defensive performance Lindsay - balanced and impressive Langdon - important connection game Chandler- Neal- Bullen clone Oliver - outstanding third quarter May - great after injury Windsor - surprisingly wayward disposals Langford - smooth and composed McVee - fitted in seamlessly Pickett - sublime skills again McDonald - steady and reliable Petty - a limited impact Fritsch - far from convincing Spargo - had limited input Tholstrup - an habitual kisser Fullarton - welcome back Jacob Sharp - limited game time
  14. Gawn - started with him Viney - finally came good Rivers - some valuable interceptions Bowey - career best performance Petracca - provided great intensity Salem - regularly stifled momentum McDonald - rose to occasion Oliver - disposals still problematic Langdon - leadership and determination Petty - nailed his chances Spargo - some important touches Sparrow - strong over ball Howes - played important part Langford - slowish but clever Lindsay - same as Langford Chandler - showed some grunt Melksham - was rarely noticed Windsor - showed some class Tholstrup - useful first half Fullarton - useful second ruck Turner - impressive until injured Sharp - had little involvement Pickett - the magic man
  15. Gawn - a fading warrior Viney - has checked out Petracca - completions left begging Langdon - outstanding 4 quarters Pickett - need a clone Oliver - just a shadow Bowey - played heart out Salem - a momentum killer Rivers - master of none Langford - tending towards slow Fritsch - barely cameos only Chandler - not a Bullen McDonald - gave his all Windsor - a failed backman Lindsay - seemingly played restricted May - not his best Petty - just a plodder Spargo - why select him? Melksham - one memorable mark van Rooyen - seemingly lost heart Sparrow - has become redundant Sharp - displayed limited talent Henderson - experiment has failed
  16. Viney to tag and harass Ferret, and the game will hinge on his ability to nullify the Essendon captain.
  17. Yes, but can you play on the wing?
  18. Arguably, I can only nominate Chandler as the sole improver in performance from last year, and even he hasn’t been overly convincing. Surely this is an indictment on the entire football programme at the club
  19. F$&k the umpires
  20. Actually a very strong VFL team on paper
  21. Ditto
  22. Oliver - prolific but irrelevant Langdon - a runner only Bowey - can’t intimidate opponents Rivers - continued downhill spiral Salem - slow and wasteful Gawn - couldn’t inspire teammates Petracca - intensity without purpose Langford - only shining light Viney - time has passed Sparrow - what’s his purpose? Fritsch - what’s gone wrong? McDonald- showed some heart Chandler - very limited game Sharp - not a wingman May - passion without effect Petty - was rarely noticed Billings - why select him? Henderson - provided little value Melksham - had limited input Howes - nothing to admire van Rooyen - seemingly without passion Johnson - experiment has failed
