  1. Move it over to the thread already created for that, WD 🙂
  2. Before @Demonstone gets in: He could use it.
  3. Thanks, Stone. Not angered, just bemused. Responding only (a) for info, re Thilthorpe's abilities (in DLanders' views) and (b) with my questions, to help call out the (presumed) nonsense - ain't ever going to be ignored, so that's the fallback.
  4. I want to contribute to this hilarity but I'm stumped.
  5. I'm liking it. But will try to keep expectations in check; he doesn't seem to have a ruck's 'bigness', and 2 years seems short for the mutual buy-in to 'getting going' à la Max. And he's moving from his home state.
  6. This looks more like the question was 'Who says Yes?'??!!
  7. Apologies for giving Cornes oxygen. 'Like for like'. Would it be? In football terms for one (@Demon Disciple's response noted) but also: The player's respective desires to move (if any)? Does HP still get the $3.4m? And what contract for RT?
  8. That news item said 'around $800k' a year after the first-year $1m...
  9. Anything to update us with, @Whispering_Jack?
  10. This one provides echoes of the excitement from the highlights of a chubby C. Oliver that surfaced in the days leading up to his draft. Professionalism concerns? Switches can flick, as Clayton duly demonstrated (recent, hopefully outlier, circumstances excepted!)
  11. Cameron Ling? But with a bit more pace?
  12. Sorry, B; only what's on the news: Players, clubless - so with no security -between seasons, a great distance from Netball Australia on a new pay deal.
  13. Wouldn't be banking on anything Super Netball related atm... 😏
  14. A lot of eggs in one basket. On the other hand, it's only one basket, the 2023 one. Could someone update us on how we'd be placed at the 2024 draft after a possible/likely wash-up of this trade period? Ta.
  15. 😆 Perhaps, given the direction this is all headed, with a 'Come up and see me...' And, OK, I'll make the first bid. With a bullishly low 10. For the number pages this thread goes before its title is changed to its bookend.
  16. See the new (and probably short lived!) 'Welcome Pick 11' thread now.
  17. (...and/or below it rated pretty poorly.) I hope that's 'fact' and not a 'group think'.
  18. Geez you've got to concentrate to keep up with the thread explosion! Don't know where this was when I posted on the Trade thread, but I don't feel so lonely now in asking how a five-for-one pick swap (eventually) works. 🤯
  19. Thanks (again) Robbie. But it's the three for one that puzzles me more, particularly if that one becomes part of another three for one - so five for one - albeit, that would be Reid. Can he be that good to be our possibly only draft selection?
  20. Can someone explain the reasoning behind trading three picks, in the range we've previously had a fair hit rate with, for (effectively) one pick only 3 places better than the best of those three? Particularly when, according to TL on the Grundy deal, having picks ( and low / out of period ones at that) is important to us: "Securing two selections for Brodie will give us more options and create further opportunities for us this Trade Period.” Ta. 🤯
  21. ...and now I'm getting the consequent migraine... 🤯
  22. I love a good spreadsheet, @Lucifers Hero, and yours ticks all the boxes! Great work and thanks! A holiday break project: update for games played as at start of 2024? Good for milestone watching! And there were a few nice debs in 2023!
  23. I'm an avid receiver of trade talk but don't have much in the way of post-worthy views. However, Billings was, for me, one of those names I 'knew' but had no idea about their football. So, to Mr Google, and this popped up. Pretty 'padded' but also a very deep dive. Tough to be singled out like this, and not helpful to his career prospects, I think. https://www.zerohanger.com/why-arent-clubs-chasing-jack-billings-stkilda-saints-afl-trade-period-144137/
