The difference with Dimma is that he traded those players in when his stars were 30+. Besides Gawn and May, our guns are all in their mid to late 20’s. Lever, Clarry and Trac are in their prime. So it’s a very different situation. We also have greats kids coming through in Riv, McVee, JVR, Petty etc. People who think we shouldn’t be going all out to win another one are kidding themselves.

There are players at every single club that would be unhappy and this can be for a variety of reasons. Trac no doubt would be scared from what happened but the fact the club has let him go to Noosa on an extended break, shows they are looking after him. I have no doubt he will get back to his best and we haven’t seen the best of him yet

Jordan went for more opportunities and let’s be honest he would not have made us any better this year. Jordan is an average player and his numbers prove that. As for the carry on with Bedford, he gets talked about like his Cyril Rioli Bedford is a role player at best and very average by foot. It was either him or Chandler. Chandler is playing just as well as Bedford. When you have a strong team you lose fringe players, it’s how the system works. I agree Billings has not been great but he was taken as a depth player and he has stayed healthy which has held him back so I think he has hit expectations this year, I never expected him to be playing every week and he cost us nothing.

I agree - Clarry and Trac are hitting their prime. I have a feeling we will land a forward in this years trade period and I think our midfield depth is ok with McVee and Rivers developing nicely. I like the thought of acquiring another half back in the Hibberd mould as I think we have missed that tough lockdown mid sized defender greatly this year.

Hunter only played limited minutes last week, so I doubt they bring him in

Fitness is not an issue, the stats say that we cover more ground than any other team in the AFL
