It was funny, the first highlight reel stopped the highlight shot when the kick was in mid air. I was thinking that was he going to be like Moloney and just bomb the ball without any accuracy. Then the AFL released a highlight reel where it showed where his kicks were landing and most of them hit a target. That made my more comfortable selecting him at #3.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM WEIDEMAN
Probably year after. Don't think Weideman will play next year's QB.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER

Hasn't Goodwin spent some time down at the Geelong Falcons watching and talking to Parish??- Darcy Parish
Don't agree with two KPPs. Unless there something in the pipeline next off season (Prestia)- Darcy Parish
Wasn't it said before that Goodwin has been at a few of Parish's games even talking to him during the game breaks. If true, pretty obvious who pick 3 will be.- Delistings/trades at end of the season

Garland seems to have ability, at his best, to not get tackled by the oppositions attackers when he should. Then have composure to hit a target.- Delistings/trades at end of the season
That is not what I am commenting on. You are defending Grimes with stats and I am saying that you must interpret stats with a grain of salt, sometimes the whole salt shaker. But I do agree with you, there are more people in the side that do do this as well. I don't know what it is, but whenever Grimes gets the ball in hand I cringe. His disposals are either a complete stuff up or non-theatening, (eg a 45 degree kick to the wing) Whereas, Howe shanked some kicks on the weekend, but the ones he gets right are dangerous and/or are through the corridor.- Delistings/trades at end of the season
This is the problem with stats, an errant handball to a team mate who is under pressure then gets tackled and we lose the ball. This goes down as an effective disposal to Grimes then goes down as a clanger or ineffective disposal to the team mate. When in reality it is Grimes' mistake.- The Jack Viney Made Me Cry Thread
