  1. If you'd seen Wilkinson play you'd know why he was delisted.
  2. I'd like to see Garlett back in if his training standards have been deemed good enough.
  3. Wilkinson produced one of the fastest (if not the fastest) times ever recorded at Draft Combine. Unfortunately, he was a rubbish footballer, which I'm very confident is the reason he was delisted. It's clear he was racially vilified by another player, as well as an opposition supporter, what isn't clear is if he was racially, or sexually harassed within his football club. It's an interesting test case for the AFL and I'll watch with interest. There's not much more to say until evidence is submitted.
  4. He squared to Hannan inside 50, but Hannan missed the set shot. We all know what he needs to work on, but a fit and firing Hunt is a real weapon. I hope they persist with him.
  5. Hunt had 11 kicks. Eight hit their target. Two that missed were "up and unders", but neither resulted in turnovers. One was a good pass with 30 seconds to go to Tyson on the boundary line (wing), but Tyson's opponent maneuvered himself ahead of him to spoil it over the line. Hunt's kicking last round was good all things considered. I like Hunt's speed, courage and urgency. He's not immune from being dropped, as we've already seen, but I hope he gets the opportunity to regain some form, because I thought his game against St Kilda was heading in the right direction.
  6. I definitely don't want Hunt dropped.
  7. Listen to this week's AFL podcast in which Angus is one of the hosts and you'll be under no illusion about his commitment to stay. Listen from 14 minutes 39 seconds. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-05-08/podcast-how-a-demon-got-his-mojo-back
  8. We got struck in the ar$e by a rainbow when this bloke accepted the role.
  9. This is too easy. Managers never rule out a young player like Brayshaw leaving when he's in the final year of his contract especially when two weeks ago he didn't have huge currency with his incumbent club (from a financial perspective). That's what managers are paid to do. To see what options might be out there to put some pressure on the existing club. This goes on all of the time. But in no way does that mean his preference is to leave. I have zero doubt his preference is to stay - assuming Melbourne's offer is reasonable. Players "consider their options" all the time when they're in the final year of their contract. So when anonymous posters say "I have heard he's looking around", unless it's a rock solid source, such as the player himself saying he's not happy and wants a move, I take no notice of that sort of hearsay at all. None. It means nothing.
  10. I'm glad you added that. It's nothing more than regurgitated hearsay. I place no weight on that whatsoever. Thanks for clarifying.
  11. I didn't call you a nuffie, but I did explain how many "I've heard" commentaries have zero veracity and how nuffies can believe them to be fact. I'll ask again, who told you he was looking around and how would they know ?
  12. These are the worst kind of posts on footy forums. You provide zero context and one is left guessing as to the veracity of the contribution. From experience one nuffie relays a comment they've heard from another nuffie who read the link on a news outlet that Brayshaw, who wasn't getting a game at the time, should potentially seek a trade to Freo. Cue the nuffie relating 4th hand info as though it's fact. It happens all of the time. Said nuffie actually "heard" nothing. Having said all of that, I'm virtually certain Brayshaw won't want to leave all of his mates when they're on the verge of maturing into the side we and they have hoped for. It just doesn't make sense. And if it doesn't make sense it won't happen.
  13. Brayshaw's manic attack on the ball and player is back. He doesn't have Petracca's ceiling, but he can become our Cotchin. Oliver, Viney, Petracca, and Brayshaw can become the best collective of midfielders in the AFL.
  14. They're not normally inside the 50 at the same time. They orchestrate it that it's usually only two.
  15. Weideman has now played 3 games and will be starting to feel more comfortable at the level. As Steve said, he's invaluable for Gawn and means McDonald doesn't have to ruck much. Oscar McDonald has improved immeasurably because they kept the faith and kept playing him. It's the same for Weideman. He's shown glimpses of what he'll become, which is a contested marking key forward, who can provide ruck relief. He's still only 20.
  16. So you would call time on a 20 year old key forward based on this game ? You and those who have liked your post have no clue.
  17. And now Sydney have done a Hawthorn and lost to North. It's a crazy year.
  18. Under the Demonland code of conduct it's an offence to abuse another poster. With this in mind I will definitely not say you're an ignoramus.
  19. Port are addicted to Melbourne players.
  20. So in the space of two games you reverse your idiotic comments from weeks ago ? Well done, I guess.
  21. In and of itself that doesn't mean much.
  22. Howe was a rubbish forward. Howe is the best one on one mark from behind I've seen, but he never took pack marks in the forward-line, because it's not his trick. He wasn't creative on the ground and he didn't compete in contests. He can use his leap from behind over an unsuspecting opponent playing behind the ball, but you don't get those opportunities consistently playing as a forward. Howe will never make it as a forward. He's a behind the ball player which for anyone who's played footy is far far easier.
  23. My view is diametrically opposed to yours. He's an incredibly difficult matchup for the opposition, because not only does he have courage in the air, he also has timing. Put simply, he has real ability in the air, which is a rare commodity. To complement this aerial ability he has speed, poise, nous and elite kicking skills. And as he gets stronger with more preseasons he can play an outside wing role Isaac Smith style. Their physical bios are almost identical. Although I'm not sure he'll have Smith's tank. For me, Fritsch is one of the least likely busts I can think of.
