No need to talk last resort right now. We are still in the "David Hale Sweepstakes" (I cannot believe I just typed that, David Hale will be the most over inflated trade piece come trade week due to ruck stock shortages) Until Hale is dealt, we can pretty much sit back to wait and see what happens for ruckman.

It would break my heart to see this man in another uniform. He deserves to play if he wants to, so good luck to Junior. I will really struggle to cheer against the guy. He really is a fav son of the MFC.

If Maric really indeed wants out of Demonland, then I suspect the dees will first try and float him to North as part of a David Hale trade. Maric may have a club in mind, and if the dees are serious about him they will not just let him walk out because the going is getting tough. If the football department have a question mark over his name, they will pull the trigger on something pretty quickly. The general consensus on Maric is that he is still required, and still can grow to become a decent footballer. Maric could be a bargain to another club. His price is not high right now, and he does have some polished areas to his game already.

Pass on both players. Doubt either would interest the demons. We have enough young talent to poke a stick at. If we are taking roughies we will be taking them on the rookie list, not on the trade table. The trade table is where we grab parts that are going to fix areas of our team that need some urgent attention.

All of a sudden GC look like a dangerous outfit. That is how good Gary Jnr is! Cats Dynasty is over. Feel bad for them because they still had another 3-4 years left of finals footy in them. With Gary and Thommo possibly going, the cats will struggle to make the 8.

Vickery may have played more gamed than our young ruckman, but I think you will find Vickery is not going anywhere fast. Gawn and Fitzy may eclpise his development next season. Pass on Vickery. He will be good, but not anytime soon.

Would Hale be dealt for a 2nd or 3rd round pick (or both)? Remember late trade weeks deals such as Fevola/Akermanis and other names that have been moved for chickens feed due to lack of suitors? If we are not planning to use all of our picks then we could still use our first rounder on talent, and our 4th rounder on another player. Then we pass on the late rounds. Gives north some extra selections to help with their rebuilding. Hale is not that great to be honest. I think they would be happy with those selections in return for a guy who should be much better for his size.

F%*k Wellman! I sure hope he understands he has a a lump of crap back line to work with at Essendon. The Dees are on the rise, and we want people to push htis club forward. Woey/Richo/Laidly/Viney could all be strong options.

I would love Rich at this club. Our first and second round pick would be nice deal for both parties.

I think Gary not showing up pretty much means he is heading to the GC. Sad day for cats fans, but they did have a good run.

This guy has honestly surprised me. He looked the goods on draft day, and appears to have the tools to be a good afl player. Miss coached/managed or not enough self discipline? If the price is right, might be worth a look.

May as well use those minutes to groom Gawn/Fitzy instead of letting Minson come in and career plateau. Minson is just another tall guy. Doesn't do much, and is painfully slow.

Sorry to throw a wet blanket on the party, but Clayton Hinkley is hardly the big fish we want to land. Without sounding too harsh, he is a nobody. So we enforced a strong youth policy by retiring our captain James McDonald, so we can sign a young Fremantle discard with poor disposal? I am not "jonesing" over this move at all.

If true it is interesting to hear Maric wants a trade. His lack of games does not exactly help his trade value. I still have my doubts about Warnock being traded. Our asking price might be a bit too high.

Exciting times ahead at the MFC. A great place to sign a 2 year deal. Brucey will be back in red and blue.

Our forward line still has spots up for grabs. Bate's career does hang on his next two seasons of football. If he can establish himself as a key player then he will most certainly be a part of the puzzle. If not, well you know how it goes. Still has a question mark over him, but sure does have talent to burn and can be a great target up forward when he is up and running.

Pick #12 for Clark is not so bad. I guess we will be leaning at either a big body or the best available with pick #12. Would a big end up being as good as Clark? Hard to say, as he still has some upside and development in him. Could be a big help down forward and in the ruck. Not the worst idea.

He did enough in the games he played to show us all why we should be looking out for him next year and beyond. The Kid can play. He could be a starting 22 player by round 3 next season if fit.

Brennan is talented, but that is as far as I am willing to go. He will make a side better, but I think we are better leaving this one alone.

Our side is talented, but not exactly "tough". Jones is too tough to say goodbye to. If he goes, and Beamer gets injured, we pretty much have an engine room full of school boys. Good luck getting into the top 8 with no physical presence inside.

Knights may be locked up, but I still get the impression the crows will be mighty active come trade week. Neil Craig is in the hot seat and he knows it.

If Wonna could string a pre-season together, along with a stricter diet...... he could turn out being a much better player than Alwyn. That, and Wonna is much younger. We have seen the best of Alwyn, but Wonna could still develop beyond his current skill set.

How many chances does a guy need? Sorry demonlanders, but Fev just doesn't get it and pulling on a red and blue jumper isn't going to change anything. Great full forward, but the cons outweigh the pros by a country mile.

There is little available that I would want for us. There are some ok names one the trading table, but all come with an element of risk being whether attitude, money demands or a checkered injury history. Salopek/Walker are available, but I would rather move a players around then part with pick #12.

Jack was good this season. Did plenty of nice things. Next season is a big one for Jack. Will we see him start to win games for the dees? Perhaps we will.
