Let me say up front, I'd be very happy to get either Sanders or Curtin in this draft. But history tells us the main reason a first 22 players leaves is the 'go home' factor. You see it every year. It is definitely a higher risk. If we were to be 'well compensated' by the AFL when it happens, it means we finished near bottom that year. Clubs rarely get true trade value when dealing with each other in these cases. This factor is the only reason WCE are open to letting the #1 pick go. It's also why I hope we can get it. I wouldn't want to give up 3 × Ist rounders for Reid if he wasn't Victorian.

The majority of MFC players are like children to me and I'm devastated when they leave. Others, like Chandler, are more like nephews. Sad to see them leave, but if it means an upgrade, we'll then, sorry bro.....🙄

Certainly has footy smarts. Excellent on both sides of his body. Good finisher as well as someone who can get their own ball. Also a goalkicker. I'd be very happy to see him in a Melbourne jumper.
