PREGAME: Rd 19 vs Carlton
Maybe he does. He only played a half game on Sunday, so seems they may be managing his minutes that way.

PREGAME: Rd 19 vs Carlton
Rivers played most of the game down back, so I would like to see Howes come in to play that role and move Rivers to the middle and May in for Lever as the only changes. Ins: Howes & May Outs: Lever & Sparrow B: Bowey May Turner HB: McVee McDonald Salem C: Windsor Oliver Lindsay HF: Chandler van Rooyen Petracca F: Viney Jefferson Melksham R: Gawn Rivers Pickett Int: Langdon Howes Langford Fritsch Sub: Tholstrup

2025 MFC Injury List
Time to put Lever on ice for the remainder of the season. Get him 100% right for day one of pre season. I'd bring May back in for Lever and bring Petty back through the twos. I also wouldn't be dropping JVR or Jeffo the rest of this season, unless through injury or needing a rest. If they are both fit then potentially Petty can come back in as a key defender.

Trade Targets
Trade articles are one of the biggest click generators in the media.... Have been told this by a mate in the industry.

Trade Targets
Worpel is a free agent. Derksen would be a late pick given GWS haven't even played him. Then we also have future picks from 2026 and 2027 we can trade.

Judd McVee contract
I reckon part of it may be due to his form this year, primarily due to his hamstring injury. He maybe was hoping to eek out some more cash based on form but that may have backfired a little. Probably hoping he hits his peak the last 7 rounds.

Judd McVee contract
No way I would do that trade. Voss is average and just looks ok playing as a 3rd tall behind Treacy and Amiss.

Stats File - 2025 edition
Agree DZ, but poor finishing has been a constant for a long time and it's mostly because of Trac, Viney, Gawn and Oliver. If it was a once in 6-7 week issue then I wouldn't worry about it, but it is literally every week. So all great to be in the game, but I'm more worried about 2026 onwards and what our best midfield mix is to maximise our inside 50s.

Stats File - 2025 edition
This is the stat that frustrates me the most. Jones and Goody need to get together and work out something new, because this has been the same old same old for years. Rivers & Langford 0% CBAs - this is a joke and there is no imagination with our midfield coaching group and by extension Goody. I am so over this.

Stats File - 2025 edition
This is a bit harsh. Binman just gives us the facts based on the stats to show that we have drastically changed the way we play. He has also consistently called out our favourite sons in Gawn, Trac, Clarry and Viney as the key reason we are struggling going inside 50. Atm we aren't quite nailing it for 100% of games, but we have been more than competitive against top 4 fancies Crows and Suns away from home. I'm not happy with where we sit, but I can easily see what we are trying to become and can see we aren't that far off getting back to the top 8. My view to this off season is we need to go out and bring in ready to go players. We don't need to go hard at the draft and we know we pretty much have K White signed up, Sinnema as an academy player and I'm guessing we may take one more player in the draft. I'd be moving on McDonald (thank you), Billings, Fullarton, Hore, Woewodin & Campbell this off season plus Henderson. Obviously we need Trac and Oliver to get back close to what they were, as that is really hurting us atm. I think Trac should be played majority forward from now onwards. Then I'd be looking at the following in trades/FA: KPF - if McKay is keen to leave then he would be perfect (assuming Jackson isn't leaving Freo). Midfielder with speed - this may have to be Worpel as there aren't a heap of options and Hawks may be happy to move him on Small forward - we need to add another genuine small forward who can kick goals. Maybe this is Rosas Jnr but there could be other options that crop up.

Wildcard Weekend
No I don't think we should... just saying if I had no choice and had to pick one of the options I would pick this
-
Wildcard Weekend
Prefer this to a wildcard weekend. Main benefit being it could make the regular season more fair by having say 18 home and away games (9 home 9 away) and then having this tournament style thing in between. Tbh I'm not overly fond of either, but if they really want it then maybe....

JvR Re-Signs until 2029
Easily. Still looks for the body too often rather than just launching at the ball, but some good signs. Really hope they keep playing him and Jeffo the rest of the year. If either gets dropped I'll burn our head office to the ground!.... oh wait is that Casey or AAMI?

PREGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne
100% agree. The only way he will learn is continuing to play in the AFL. Eric Hipwood is a good exactly of that. He had a lot of stinkers in the AFL (still does), but the Lions persisted with him and kept getting games into him. We need to do the same. Personally I'd like to see Fritsch dropped and play Petty, JVR and Jeffo this week. Means we can always have 2 key forwards in the F50.

PREGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
My hopes for the final team are as follows: FB: Bowey May Lever HB: McVee Turner Salem C: Lindsay Petracca Langdon HF: Viney van Rooyen Chandler F: Melksham Jefferson Pickett R: Gawn Oliver Rivers Int: Tholstrup Langford Billings Sparrow Sub: Sharp CBA Options: I want to see the mids put into categories such as: Bulls - Oliver/Viney/Trac Users - Pickett/Rivers/Langford We should never have more than 2 players from the two categories above in the same CBA. It will ensure if say Oliver is in there, we surround him with Pickett and Rivers, or Trac and Pickett. I'm sick of constantly seeing Trac, Viney and Oliver in the same CBA. I also want to see more even numbers as opposed to Viney Trac and Oliver at 80-90% CBAS and then a Langford at 5%. I also wouldn't be opposed to adding Lindsay or McVee to the midfield rotations as a 'user'.
