  1. I think it's time to pull the trigger on Melksham and swap him for Jeffo for the rest of the year. Nothing against Melksham, it's just probably his last year and it's time to give Jeffo an extended run. There's going to be games where he gets killed by the best defenders, but it's the only way he will learn now. I think the Kolt potentially should also play out the season and we could also have a look at Sestan at half back as well, especially if McVee is suspended. If Gawn is suspended maybe we play Verrall, but I think at this stage I'd rather he continue playing at Casey to get his confidence up. He will get monstered at AFL level.
  2. We must be the dumbest and most undisciplined side in the competition. Bad free kick but suck it up Viney, you're a senior F'ing player!
  3. I meant 3 and above sorry... anyway my point is not in relation to what a bag is.
  4. These days anything over 3 is a bag in my mind. Has kicked 5, 3, 3, 3 & 4 in 5 of their games this year. I'm also not advocating to go for him btw, just making a point about how many small/mid sized forwards the Giants have on their list.
  5. Yes he is
  6. I think there will be a bit of a shift in our list this off season, depending on the players we can bring in. I reckon we may only take two kids at the draft (K White and T Sinnema) and we will look at ready made players to trade in. I think there's a chance the following are traded/delisted/retire end of the year: Marty Hore (r) Tom McDonald Jake Melksham Tom Fullarton Jack Billings Taj Woewodin Jai Culley (r) Jack Henderson (r) McDonald or Melksham may get a late 1 year contract dependant on the trade situation. I also think there's a chance we keep on of Henderson or Culley and at this stage I would have Culley ahead. In regards to players to bring in we have been linked to the following so far: Luke Jackson (we can all dream) Miles Bergman - has a prior relationship with Nathan Bassett so maybe that could get it done for us? Would add to our best 23 and would release Windsor back to the wing. Ollie Lord - have heard we have been linked to him and I think he would be an upgrade on Fullarton. If we got Jackson I reckon we would abandon this one. Wade Derksen - obviously went after him last year and he has been even better this year playing down back. Could be a TMac replacement. James Worpel - who knows if this will eventuate but would add to our midfield depth though not a world beater There's obviously going to others that pop up and one thing I would like us to do is go out and find another high level small/medium forward. GWS have a ton of them and also have Nathan Wardius kicking absolute bags in the VFL (22 goals from 10 games this year).
  7. I think Turner is a better forward, however he is also a gun defender and is really settled. Leave it as it is for the remainder of the year. If we can find a more reliable KPF next season then Petty and Turner could both be down back.
  8. Just passing on what I'm told and he absolutely has good contacts in Perth. Obviously it may change, but I think as it stands Freo won't agree to trade him and would rather move on Darcy if there's a taker. Most likely Geelong given their constant ruck issues.
  9. I'm mates with Ryan Daniels and he believes Jackson won't be leaving Freo. He thinks they will be trading Darcy....
  10. Thank you... wish people would do their research before posting 😆
  11. 2 first and a 2nd round is pretty good. You wouldn't get anymore than that. I would do that deal in a heartbeat personally.
  12. You're probably right, but the talk about his family issues is 100% correct
  13. Not really sure where he fits into the Freo side though with Treacy and Amiss? I guess they may come sniffing for him. I still think if Jackson is vehemently wanting to leave then picks can get it done.... everyone else trades picks!

I think that's why due diligence needs to be done. What was going on. What are you doing now. Do you want to be an AFL footballer and not part of this? These are all questions you would ask and the deal would be short, say 2 years.
  15. Assuming we can afford him in our salary cap, 2026 & 2027 first round picks plus probably a 2nd round pick. The hard thing is Freo would have to accept the trade, and they are going to have serious egg on their face if it does eventuate. I guess it depends how much Luke really wants to get out of Perth. I am from Perth originally and do know people who know their family. It is pretty messy everything that has gone on, so there is a decent chance he says to Freo I need to leave ASAP.
