I'm not a sociopath. I'd actually feel sorry for him if ASADA ordered him shot. But then I'd pick up the pieces and move on a couple of minutes later.
-
He should be shot. I'm sick of that sociopath.

We seem to have drafted kids that have a good brain. If their footy matches it we are in good hands. And thank God we didn't draft that McCartin kid. He looks like a caveman. I hope he spends his first paycheck doing something about those teeth.

*Rubs hands together* I'm gonna be rich! Rich, you hear! Hehehehehe

I don't care how good he is. JC is getting moved to the flank now the Hulk is fit.

I'm not sure I like the look of that place. Let me sit down and think about it.

Talking point: The first half of the season to come
Uncle Fester replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think that is reasonable, however I think we'll see us fight out most games and turn it on in others. I think we have some good depth (finally), some very good players filling the right spots, a team that wants to do what needs to be done to be a good team, and a coach and staff that can help them do that. But not this year. This year will be about learning to stay with the best and beating the lesser teams; learning when to run forward off a man, and when to run back. A 2010 year without the insane highs and the suicidal lows. 7 -10 this year will be fine as long as I see the fundamentals adhered to, because I'll know that 2016 will yeld teen wins once we can do that. -
I don't. He can go to hell and stay there as far as I'm concerned.

I think that it is important that these five players play the role required of them: In no order: Viney: Give Dom and Jones an extra to help out when the going gets tough. TMac: Be the number one backman who takes the best forward each week Harry O: Quick movement from HB, and an extra level head in the middle Garlett: Crumb, create, and keep the ball in the forward line when it hits the ground Dawes: I don't care how many he kicks if he can make opportunities for Garlett and let Hogan then he's going to be worth every cent. Also Toump, Watts, Salem, JHK and Kent will make a huge difference if they can at least break even on their opponents through the year.

How do we attract more members to this Forum?

I work with a hard core demon who reads here often but has no interest in posting. To each their own. -
Ten years later and words still fail me.

Best of wishes, mate. When I became separated from my wife, and then divorced, I thought my world had ended. It floored me. Floored me for a good two years. But I survived it, and once I got up off the floor I found a whole new and wonderful life. It will hurt, and hurt for a while, but that will pass and better things will replace it. I won't lie to you and tell you that not seeing your kids 24/7 is something that will be something that you'll ever get used to, but if you can swallow your pride on some matters concerning them that might make you feel as if she's scored a point on you, but deep down you know it's the best thing to do, then your conscience will repay you in spades down the track as you see how you have done the right thing by the ones that really matter in all of this. After a couple of rough years my ex-wife and I are pretty good friends. Not buddy buddy close, but we talk open and honestly, and even share some laughs. Would I go back? Not a hope, but it's nice to know that even after all the crap both of us gave each other in the early days, we are still a team that needs the other to help them with the raising of our children. Hang tough. These are the worst days and they'll be over sooner than you expect, as much as I understand you might not see that right now. And anyway... late to the party... happy boxing day all.

Training - Friday 19th December, 2014
Uncle Fester replied to Longsufferingnomore's topic in Melbourne Demons
uh huh. I only read the training reports for the weirdness these days. I mean who cares about the training? What matters is potting Saty for being OCD and /or unhealthy obsessed. [censored] 'em Saty. My grandmother spent a good 60 of her 90 years doing whatever it took to help 'her boys' of the MFC. If there was something to be done she was there to do it, and she did it with a smile and not expecting a thank you. All that mattered to her was that her beloved boys were supported so they could smash the other eleven pretenders to the throne. At her funeral there was an all star cast of the 50's and 60's teams, and she was carried away with 'Grand Old Flag' playing. The club needs people like you, Saty. Don't let the naysayers get you down. -

What win will be your favourite??
Uncle Fester replied to Bleeds_Red_&_Blue's topic in Melbourne Demons
A win at Shitead please. I hate knowing that no matter how bad the opp I have to put a line through it. I get depressed just seeing we have to play there. -

Mitch Clark on Paleo Diet

Yeah, me too. That's it. No belly here, just a bit of undercondtioning. -
Yes, Chook, but they are rare, and usually not worth the effort it takes to find them. Give me a break even ruck and a top midfield. and I'll show you a team worth watching. It's the same with most big men... rucks, forwards, defenders... they are the icing not the cake.
-
I agree with all of that. I don't get why someone who is a hardworking G&D player is talked about around here like he was pond scum.
-
That is pretty rare though. I'd be happy with a break even ruck that let the mids do what the needed to do. And don't get me wrong, I'd love a Cox or White playing for us but I'd be very happy with a ruckman that did enoungh to break even week in and out.
-
Rucks are over rated. As long as they break even at the taps and don't let the other ruck run amok in general play, then his job is done.
-
That guy? The one that shut down Gaz jnr so well the GC whined to the AFL? Is that the guy you meant?

Where do we finish on the ladder next year?
Uncle Fester replied to CBDees's topic in Melbourne Demons
Sure, but wouldn't it be nice to see him named as an emg because there were better on the list. Ahhh, a man can dream, can't he?
