Lol. What an idiotic idea. But wtf right? I get paid if I'm not rostered on and paid double time and a half if I am. Sounds good to me. -
A buit like this then?

Yep, just as he was starting to get his mojo back. Oh well. At least his pick partner is back from his.

He cared. He cared about getting our ball back,.

On that theme: I'd love to see Essendrug run out one day to 'Leper Messiah'. -
Relax? We've got this?

Winners are grinners, and losers can please themselves. I'm grinning. I really don't care what Ed and co are doing.

N00b type Q here, but which of the kids is the sprint king? Is it Harmes?
-
I backed him as a kid - he looked out of his league, but kids take time right? Then after a couple of years I went to warm on him. He was no longer a kid, but he seemed scared of his own shadow and made stupid mistakes all the time. After that he went down back and looked like a gem for a bunch of games. Hello? Is this the kid we were hoping for? Then he went cold. very cold. And I'll admit that I would have smiled if we got anything under the first 30 for him in return But... In the last 6 or so weeks he looks like the player that we hoped for - slick, fast, strong and committed to the win. Hmm. I need to see more of it before I'm 100% sold, but I'm sitting on a comfortable 99% right now. His straight line run from the FP to set up Vince on the weekend was great. He looked so much bigger and stronger than any of his opponents, and he knew it. That gave me more joy that even his 'best point of the decade' run gave. I hope he builds on this because when he does those things it is as good as any other star in the game, and like an iceberg I get the feeling that 9/10ths of his true talent is still hidden. Oh, and to that [censored] Collingwood fan that wanted to punch me back a couple of years ago. I was right. He isn't the worst #1 pick ever. Josh 'What is a football' Fraser still holds the title.

Accidentally?

Good Q. Never understood that one either. When you are hot then you should be on the ground.

It was like watching a cheetah run down a gazelle.

I missed the first game against the Sts (was working, and when I heard about the heartbreaking result I had no wish to watch it again), but I've got to ask: who was the foolish Sts player in the clips at the start that thought giving Jack a 'don't argue' was a bright idea? Man, that was killer tackle that the Sts boy will still be having nightmares about in his dotage.

When we beat teams* it is because we bring a bit of mongrel to the game. Not sniping, Hawthorn mongrel, but hard, 'if you want that ball it'll cost you a couple of bruises mongrel. That's what needs to be consistent. We look so much the better side when the mindset is 'That's our ball you have there, boyo. You'd better give it back if you know what is good for you'. I love it. Takes me back to the oh so close Northey years. *except the Bears, who still would have found a way to lose to us even if we forgot to turn up that day.

Did Ed go red is the real question. I love it when he gets frustrated / angry and his head turns into a beetroot. I half expect him to explode one day when it is suggested that Collingwood might not be the greatest team in the history of world sport.

My 2c (and I doubt it's worth even that) is that 99% of the people booing are just following the crowd. Ditto 99% of the people gettting outraged by it. Sometimes it just feels good to make niose with 30,000 other people, and sometimes it feels good to get up on a high horse about an issue that won't seem that important when the next news cycle rolls around. I don't expect a lot of sense from group think no matter the subject or the leanings of the group, and I'm rarely if ever disappointed. However, I loved that the clubs and players all through the AFL closed ranks to support one of their own that is obviously hurting from his inane treatment and how he has become the number one water cooler conversation in the land. That's the only positive I can see in this whole childish episode.
