That's my ball. Give it back. If we could somehow bottle that attitude and give it to the rest to drink we'd win every flag for the next 500 years.

So so so many on our list that you'd let walk before him. So many. He's not untradable - like 80% of the list for the right pick/ compo we'd say yes, but unless we get a Col + extra tricks then we are idiots if we let him go.

Straight swap - Howe for Toby Greene
Uncle Fester replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
Will punch Robbo if we ask him to. I say yes. -
More to blame. She was the ones that made the vows, and she was the one that broke them. He was just the dog wandering past when she came in heat.

The Keith "Bluey" Truscott Memorial Trophy - 2015
Uncle Fester replied to a topic in Melbourne Demons
It was an awesome speech. I don't think I'd ever get tired of hearing just how well she spoke of the history of the club. I can wait for the rest if that's that's an indication of things to come -
I didn't, but I wouldn't be admitting to it in any case. He might read here and come looking for me
-
Oh, I didn't say right twice a day... I said he can make me laugh twice a day... Small point but a big difference.
-
Disclaimer: I think Robbo is a [censored], but even a broken clock can make me laugh twice a day Robbo on Frawley: “I reckon he’s a $550,000 mistake he’s had a poor season, he seems lost. He'd want to have a better game next week. Why was it going to take time? He struggled as a one-on-one defender in the NAB Cup, let alone the tactics of being in a defensive group with Hawthorn. He’s struggled as a pure defender on a leading forward.” - Mark Robinson

Somebody please post the gif of his tackle on the StKilda player because that sums up Jack completely

Heard a little bit about this kid. Is he any good? -
That highlight reel is horrible. He turns it over or kicks to the wrong spot far more that he gets it right. Sure, it's a couple of minutes of a whole career but if that is the best they can find...

The Rising Star Thread - Congratulations Jesse Hogan!
Uncle Fester replied to Nascent's topic in Melbourne Demons
Dunno about the 'rising' bit. -
I know nothing about this, but I'm prepared to jump to wild conclusions... I think he wants to be a woman.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm not getting into the ring with Hogan. -
Expand on the attitude comment please

See, I really don't get this. Unless he is part of some massive win package for us why would a kid have currency with another club when he's not a starter in our 22 (that lost to Essendo and Carlton ffs) Also we all [censored] and moan about not having the depth to take the time to develop kids properly in the magoos like a Hawthorn can, but the moment some 20 year old isn't getting a game we want to trade him out for a packet of half eaten salt and vinegar chips.
-
He is a true MFC champ. I wish him success and joy for his next 100 games.
-
The draft takes babies and hopes they become superstars, and then we are so harsh on those kids when they don't. All teams have hits and misses playing this lottery, and we really shouldn't blame a kid for a recruiter for not having a perfect crystal ball

8 goals and 40 touches is the pass mark. No pressure though, lad

Uncle Fester replied to baysidedave's topic in Melbourne Demons
Negative... sure. I expect the worst but hope for the best. Being positive has been mercilessly beaten out of me since the mid 70's... But I'm not going away or microwaving memberships or anything like that. The club is under my skin and it's either them or nothing. I suspect that every true Demon feels much like I do. -
I don't really give a crap about the old debate going one here: what is done is done, but I so so soooo love that it's almost mandatory when talking about Hird as a footballer to add an asterix next to his name. Anyway. Carry on.

It wasn't all bad... I got paid double time for 12 hours work, and missed all of the game.
