  1. MELBOURNE Player Injury Estimated Return Angus Brayshaw Concussion 2 weeks Colin Garland Cheekbone 3 weeks Matt Jones Back Test Mitch King Knee Season Heritier Lumumba Concussion TBC Clayton Oliver Thigh Test Christian Salem Illness TBC Jack Viney Fractured knuckle/suspension 3-4 weeks Updated: Tuesday, May 31 Oliver will be back. so 5 best 22 out. or 4 if you think Garls isnt best 22. injuries starting to add up but this should be an excuse Anyone else want to see Vince play on the ball for the full game? miss his class, toughness and influence
  2. Classic line The man they really missed this week was Clayton Oliver.... His ability to stand in traffic and dodge tacklers like Neo avoiding bullets in The Matrix until the right option appears would have added much needed calm to a side who responded to Port’s pressure like they were evacuating a burning building.
  3. news for next week: Fasolo bung shoulder may miss QB, Moore is having surgery. Adams bad hammy will miss gees it would be sweet to beat those fools again
  4. unfortunately our game plan is not to stick close to forwards. this zone is doing my head in but I guess it is natural for a big cghange like this to take some time for the defenders to adjust to. Grimes has certainly done enough to get a run. if viney is out, id bring him in. his leadership and experience will be handy against the Hawks
  5. does anyone think Viney will get off? the first two punches I reckon were insifficient force for a suspension but the third is low impact id think. hard to see him avoid a week.
  6. After yesterday and looking at the table we are no chance to make the 8 this year. With the bottom four being so bad you'll definitely need 13 wins to make it. Adelaide looked good in the weekend. Can't see us winning two more than them over the rest of the season
  7. can anyone access herald sun articles? if so there is one up about 3 key port players not being certainties to line up tomorrow with a pciture of Trengove and Hartlett. they would massively miss them both esp trengove
  8. Hoges can't leave his little mate behind surely?!
  9. IN -Tyson, Jetta, Pedo OUT - Oliver, Michie, O Mac Grimes - stiff as a teenage boy's sheets We need another fwd tall option/ruck in Pedo. Port not overly tall up fwd I think but if Pedo needed in def he can go back everyone on notice as Grimes, Trenners, Oliver, AVD, Dawes, etc all ready to come in shortly!
  10. Man I hate how its either: "DEE-plorable" Pathetic dees etc or they'll win a flag. how about just report how it is. we were shocking, we are now an OK, decent, average team with potential. guess that doesnt sell 'clicks' on a website I still remember vidily Brucey saying: "Oooh these Demons are going to be Something!" back in ~2010. well no, we were not
  11. id happily pay him a million a year for 7. we havent seen a player of his quality for a long long time I dont believe is decision will all be about money
  12. Far out I would gutted if this is true. people thinking we'll be fine based on 2 untried youngsters are kidding themselves. Hogan will be one of the top 10 players in the AFL for the next 10 years and losing him could be the difference between winning a flag or not
  13. *just remembered we traded out first rounder* we obviously knew this was a rubbish draft
  14. Who will be this year's No.1 draft pick? call me a bitter man if you will, but I am loving that this years draft is open and there is no standouts - so far. Freo blantently tanking and the Dons getting rewarded for being drug cheats was making me sick. I am also assuming the Bears will get a priority pick as QLD is struggling So hopefully they will not benefit as much as they would want. at this stage the top batch seem pretty similar so our pick ~10 hopefully will be fairly similar to the top couple
  15. awesome shots! well done to the club for giving us the access that Roos / Viney shot. goosebumps. Goody will do well, but we will miss the genius man management of Roos.
  16. This time last year it would have been T Mac but he has been inconsistent recently so Jetta gets the nod. Id back t Mac to come back into form though, no one tries harder
  17. They'll look at mids especially that are tired or carrying knocks to take the week off. No way Newton should get dropped, played well, kicked a really important goal. We need to reward hard work and good performance
  18. The hogan one where he was outside 50 with watts in the square alone was unbelievable. Then hogan handballs it? i guess he somehow didn't see watts.
  19. Terrific to see so many under 21 yo's getting votes and leading the club. 9 players with less than 20 games today
  20. We really have to bring in Dunn or O Mac and play them fwd/2nd ruck any other option? hogan and T Mac can help out around the ground in the ruck but not centre bounces
  21. agree Garland is playing average footy. might be in over Dunn as he can play small and is a bit quicker. bears dont have too many talls
  22. Salem is dropped as he has been performing well below his ability. Hasn't been many chase down tackles like last year. I support him being dropped. They showed faith in him by bringing him straight back in. I am liking the new standards.
  23. Blown away by this bloke. What a pick by the recruiters, he was nowhere a year or two ago. Keep eating the nuggets on game day Clayton!
