absolute guns. those 3 along with Gawn are elite already. best part about them playing forward is that their time on ground increases: Oliver is upto 84%, Trac 87% and Hoges 92% A testament to their talent but also how hard they have worked in the preseason.

I’d have Weed in for Tyson. I reckon we need more height up forward with hogan playing midfield minutes. ANB, melk, Lewis etc can all take more midfield time to cover Tyson. Play jones inside all game. Gus in next week if he is in the best for casey

agree that his character has been put into question regarding Bill's ex but Garry stated many times he didnt want to be involved with the functioning of the club, he was basically begged into being on the coaching recruitment panel. maybe next time MFC should listen to an ex player when they say they don't want to be involved.

He played 5 games last year, 10 the year before. Surely it makes sense for him to get match fit and build into some form before coming into the first team? he has played 1 competitive game so far. another good performance and he'll be in. he is only 22 and played 35 games, hasn't earnt the automatic start status yet although it won't be long before he replaces vince or lewis on the HF line

quiet on he changes front this week. I watched the replay and although Ive grown to like Milkshake, I think he is too out of form to keep his spot. decision making is poor. I'd bring in Pedo for him or Weed if they think he is match fit enough. If Pedo doesn't perform in the 1s over the next 2-3 weeks it could be the last we see of him with Weed coming on and T Mac coming back. i'll back him in to kick a couple and start marking it

interesting comments, seems most are confident. I see it as 50-50. i think the odds are more based on hype in the media. but in reality we have beaten 2 weak teams. imo if we play like we have been, missing easy shots at goal, not being switched on for 4 quarters - we will lose by a goal or two. With hawks forwards they dont need many inside 50s to win if we improve which I think we will, we should win. no passengers, kick more goals than points and crack in for 4 quarters

was going to add to the changes thread but doesn't really fit I'm so intruiged by the Hawks game coming up on sunday. The pessimist (MFC supporter part) in me says we wont win. the Hawks have certainly improved. Beat Geelong and lost to Tigers by a goal. But then sometimes I think about Trac and Clarry and Jesse and I think we should easily beat them if we have the belief. One of the MANY defining games of our season and I can't wait. So what are your thoughts, predictions? I think we will hammer them by 1 point ;-) Hogan will elevate himself to elite status and destroy chip and Lever will finally look like belongs and intercept all day

like I said my concern is Gawn getting burnt out not winning hit outs. He'll have McEvoy jumping into him all game on sunday

Like others I'm worried about Gawn rucking too long during games and getting burnt out or injured. Harmes (!!) was the only other player to win a hit out on the weekend. We need Peedo or Weed in to ruck some decent minutes. Also has the advantage of Gawn spending some time forward. My preference is Pedo as he took 15 marks and played well and I want Weed to play 3-4 good games before we bring him in.

Not sure about frost down back. Did some good things in the 2nd quarter but poor positional sense - why he left Waite on his own in the first quarter for that goal no one knows. Also a few clangers. Do we need three talls plus Wagner and hibbo against the hawks? They play pretty small. Like I said it would be harsh as he took a couple of nice marks and gave us some rebound for a while. If hunt somehow gets his mojo back today I’d bring him for frost
