Eddie: Talk to us about the photo you took. Photographer: I picked up my camera, hit the button and took a photo. Eddie: Fabulous. We’ll be back after this break. I can’t imagine there would have been much more to it than this.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide

Port requiring the umpires to get anywhere. Not just the frees but the non-paid frees we’re not getting. Motflop getting a free ride. -

Win this and we‘ll bank the four points. -
Chill Bruv, no ones attacking you, it was just my opinion.

This is on-par with the tennis players should retrieve their own towel and thank the ball-person for throwing the ball back (aka, just doing their job) thread. Who would have thought that winning would turn people nuts.
-
Ahhhhhh ‘miked’ up, I’ve been reading it as ‘milked’ and had no idea what that meant. Should have opened the thread earlier.

Harvey to be the caretaker coach for the entire 2022 season? I read today that Clarkson will coach Hawthorn next season before handing the reigns over to Mitchell. I reckon the AFL will give Dew another season then pay whatever it takes to get Clarko up there for 2023 if next season is another failure.

Now that’s a haircut you can set your watch to.

That’s Stewie Dew.

Not even a nod of the helmet?

Dear Roger, An overwhelming number of people are becoming annoyed that you and your fellow tennis players are not acknowledging the ball-person when they throw the ball back at you. To cease this annoyance, could you please stop concentrating on your next move within the match and kindly face the ball-person and raise an eyebrow (or two) in appreciation. Much love, Ethan

I’ll email Federer and let him know a little raise of the eyebrows to the ball-person every time they return a ball would be appreciated.

I think people have to look at it in context, it’s not a normal workplace, they’re elite sportspeople who are in a certain frame of mind when in action. Viney had been cleaned up and was trying to get his breath and would have been sore, sometimes in that environment it’s just a natural reaction. I remember on when I was in defence and did selection, there were plenty of times I was sore, tired, sucking in the oxygen and someone would try to assist but you’d push them away, you don’t mean any harm, you’re just so focussed. Sometimes you just need space and you literally can’t talk, you just push that person away. It’s easy to judge someone when sitting at home on your comfy sofa I suppose. As I said, it’s not a good look but look at it in context and let’s not get carried away.

Not at all, you’re entitled to your opinion. I personally didn’t think it was a good look (regardless of the trainers gender) however I certainly don’t think it warrants its own thread.

Running low on things to be offended about?

12-3 in a close season…let’s not look for things to be negative about right now. 5%* off in any given game and you’re going to lose. *Number picked at random, for demonstrative purposes only, it could even be 3% (for the nit-pickers who may ask how I arrived at 5%).
-
GWS aren’t a bad team, it’s a ridiculously close competition and we lost by nine points. Calm down.

Tired. Slow. Predictable.

That was the style at the time.

I always tell people this crazy story about this one time I caught a bus, I had to sit next to a commoner. It was an eye-opener but never again.

They sound broken. Glorious.
