He's back
I wasn’t expecting this. Personally I think he/she/they/them should’ve been hung, drawn and quartered (at a minimum.. so probably one eighth’d).

Ben Brown Opts Out Of Betting Ads
I’d take a pay cut if it meant ending world hunger. Like Wood, I know it’s never going to happen. (But legit, I would take a pay cut for that..)

Ben Brown Opts Out Of Betting Ads
Nice sentiment by BB no doubt, but I bet he’s still happy to accept his full salary, a large percentage of which is thanks to the revenue generated from betting on the game. The AFL receive 10¢ for every dollar made by corporate bookmakers (Sportsbet, Ladbrokes, Neds and others) on the game. Which results in a massive windfall. The TV stations that pay for AFL broadcast rights, worth about $400 million a year, are partly funded by the huge advertising spending by betting companies. The (pervasive) on-ground advertising is worth $3 million to the AFL. A sponsorship with Sportsbet rakes in $8 million.

Collingwood image ‘raising eyebrows and questions’
You’re offended that a male, dressed in a ladies bathing costume, was referred to as a “hot chick”. That is honestly amazing, love it.

Crown approaching AFL clubs...
Wouldn’t be happy one with the club being associated with a criminal organisation.

Collingwood image ‘raising eyebrows and questions’
Again, it’s got nothing to do with being offended. It’s about respect, and what is acceptable conduct.

I’ve posted further articles above which call out the unacceptable behaviour of unwelcome and/or inappropriate touching in the workplace. Justifying this type of behaviour by comparing it to another one, especially the De Goey incident, is baffling. Following an incident in 2020 where Dan Butler groped the buttocks of Jade Gresham in the rooms following a match, Gresham released a statement to the media where he said, “There is no context in which this behaviour is appropriate.” I completely agree with Gresham here. I think it’s quite disgusting that people are justifying the behaviour because it was female on female and stating “Oh well… what De Goey did was way worse.” I have very strong feelings towards treating everyone with respect, especially when it comes to the workplace. There is no justification whatsoever for this type of conduct. (I don’t get what my profile pic has to do with this; a hot chick, by herself, in a full bathing suit, having her photo taken, with consent, with no person/s being groped.)

Collingwood image ‘raising eyebrows and questions’
This isn’t about being offended or comparing different scenarios before assessing which one is worse. In isolation, the image is a poor look. Kids, including my six year old girl, follow the AFLW, they don’t need to think this behaviour is socially acceptable. Additionally, the conduct took place in what would be considered the workplace, should we just brush this aside and accept it because the people involved are female athletes?

Collingwood image ‘raising eyebrows and questions’
Apart from being of poor taste, the message this sends to kids (especially young girls) is disgusting. How they thought this was ok to post on social media is beyond me.

I’m well aware double standards don’t exist within the media and general public, so I’m eagerly awaiting the impending storm: Collingwood image ‘raising eyebrows and questions’ on social media

Jack Ginnivan admits drug use
It’s no shock that crime rates would decrease, given possession, supplying, trafficking etc are all crimes that keep police and authorities very busy. Offences against people (including infants and children) will increase. People are fooling themselves if they don’t think usage will increase.

Jack Ginnivan admits drug use
Do you know how much crime is committed by people who are high on drugs such as cocaine and meth? From my previous previous experience as a first-responder then a Detective, legalising these substances will only increase serious crime. People do hideous things on these drugs, things that unfortunately I can’t un-see.
