  1. Whatever, it IS TIME WE DODGED ANOTHER JIM TILBROOK-LIKE BULLET. REMEMBER? KELVIN T, GEORGE LAKES, AND ALL THOSE OTHER SEMI MESSIAHS WHO TURNED INTO DUST AND BULLDUST BEFORE OUR EYES.
  2. It could be worse, you could have Double Kneemonia in both knees as in Osteoarthritis and stay alive...
  3. Elliot will only be worth what he's asking if he can consistently get on the park. He hasn't ever been able to do that.
  4. You certainly are a man of strong opinions.
  5. Terry Wallace has never been a Melbourne fan. I think he gave Tom MAc very short shrift - his last 2 games before the injury which finally DID debilitate him - were sensational. I will never be convinced he didn't play injured before that. Wallace also doesn't seem to give a toss that McDonald, Lever, May, Jetta, Melksham, Hannan, J. Smith, Weidemann, Hibberd, T.Smith, Petty, Hore, Vandenberg, Oscar Mac,T.Smith, Swallow, etc etc spent a lot of the year either injured, incapacitated or in recovery mode.
  6. I'm glad I heard this interview. It certainly makes a mockery of all of the doomers and gloomers on this site who refused to acknowledge the injury toll, who kept inventing all kinds of conspiracy theories about the players and the coaches and the training staff.
  7. He doesn't have a great history.... Don't want to argue, it's just they have basically reinvented their lists by imports of needed players. At some stage that will come a cropper....
  8. Dazzler, we have basta, as they say in Italy, crocks and semi-injured on our list already. I hate them too, but not for these reasons. They talk a lot about Hawthorn Recruiting victories. There are just as many flippy flops. E.G. Fitzpatrick, Wingard, Cheney, Paul Johnson, Vickery, Spangher, Bruce who were just so so...
  9. From what I saw of Demons in 2019 we have a surfeit of turn over merchants already. I didn't watch much of the Grand final after the first quarter because the writing of the slaughter was way too visible on the wall, but I did notice Mr Tomlinson is very gifted at kicking the ball to the opposition with pinpoint accuracy. He reminded me of the Mighty Dom... The other observation, since I now have your undivided attention, is the simple fact that 4 of our main exports had very injury interrupted seasons - Dom, Hogan, Kent and Watts. I spoke to a Port supporter during the weak and he said Port Adelaide were very happy with Watts this season, very happy...until he broke his leg.
  10. OH YEAH: Nathan Brown, Whelan the wrecker, Nathan Carroll, Martin Pyke, Mr Pickett, Steve O'Dwyer, Collins- 2000 Grand Final,
  11. AFL/VFL history is full of high draft picks who crashed, low draft picks which turned into million dollar footballers. There is no magic formula. Some dudes on this site seem to thrive on featuring Melbourne's draft pick mistakes: as though other teams don't make the same mistakes, as though other teams are not at the mercy of lady luck.
  12. You really sound like someone born with entitlement. I find most of your posts laughable. Most of them are negative and come from a 'born to rule' place. Get over it, it's a game called AFL where the playing field is NOT level, hasn't been for very many years.
  13. They are not a 'team'. They are a concoction bought by the mighty buck.
  14. The other salient point is there will be a Grand Final next week which apart from Richmond supporters virtually nobody else in Australia will give a stuff about. GWS was/is a concoction and the fact they have about 25 member in Sydney proves it. What a yawn/joke next Saturday promises to be.A sad day for football.
  15. When I racked my 3 remaining brain cells, I understand it was 1960 for me, so you still win...
  16. Would only have been better if Mihocek had taken a mark in the goal square in the dying seconds, the siren goes and he kicks it out of bounds on the full. I hate the E Colli Wobblers, AFL Pet Boys, as much as I hate the Liberal Party and everything it stands for.
  17. Thank you for giving me some satisfaction tonight.
  18. It hasn't been 'objective' since Christian was appointed and redefined the Peter Principal. The consistency factor is the same as it ever was...
  19. He should not have been playing in the first place - unless you condone wanton eye gouging, he should have been banned for his assault on the Bont. Greene is a total self absorbed jerkoff.
  20. Well, bringbackthebiff, repeated entries ain't doin it for GWS either. They need a new set of umps.
  21. I started watching in 1961. That makes 6 decades. So what? Who is counting?
  22. The issue here is Greene should have been rubbed out the week before: what he did to Bontempelli was one hundred and fifty times worse than what he did to Neale. Christian's decisions during the year were baffling, inconsistent and showed Christian had reached new levels in defining the Peter Principal. That it reached the farcical situation where an ex E Coli Wobbler sat on the Executioner's chair simply showed up what the AFl really is, a bunch of Amateurs who make things up as they go along.
