Don’t agree totally they were a basket case owing 5 mill in debts & they turned it around, secured great profits from playing home games with only 25k attending whilst other teams were losing $$ @ docklands ( great system afl) pushed for redevelopment of a stadium over 15 yrs via the state gvt, maximised their uniqueness away from Melb metro clubs to attract talent, multiple million dollar profits.. vs no home base & training at a paddock next to punt rd and 50 min Casey & a pipe dream Caulfield

Hate the cats but also respect them and what they continue to achieve since 07, they haven’t bottomed out , don’t sell home games interstate, trade in quality experience A graders, their strategy was set when the expansion clubs entered the comp, we are so far behind in key areas it’s chalk & cheese

Our list mgt apart from the draft pics which have been great has been very poor compared to other premiers in recent times, not sure if they are just poor choices which is strange considering the young talent they choose or simply we don’t $$ in the cap to land big fish or they just not attracted to our club

Same issues since 21, clubs find away to regenerate and bolster their lists & contending we find a way to Botton out

Poor trades of experience talent , game plan hasn’t evolved, look at the last 3 premiers successful trades & topping up & all still contending, whilst both the pies & cats missed finals after winning flags they are both contending, we have butchered our trades & topped up with vfl players at best, only positive are the young kids they drafted. it’s 4 seasons since 21 & yet to find a power forward, Weeds failed, JVR who knows

Totally agree! I’m all for growing the game and respecting our fellow indigenous Australians but I don’t see big clubs doing this eg Collingwood! Whatever home ground advantage we have is gone & certainly no guarantees we would win at the G but why do this & risk 4 points, sure do this as preseason game have an all star indigenous vs the MFC

Totally agree we gave up whatever advantage is left in the AFL & made it a 50/50 game, I don’t see Collingwood doing this but hey as long as we are feeling great flying the flag of …. We are a professional football club playing on a country ground for 4 premiership points yet are willing to give up home ground advantage!

Same result as the GWS game when we kept missing, we need to get to playing out home games @ the G! Our objective is to win games not fly the flag for other reasons! Play preseason games but enough of giving up our home ground!

Why we keep selling our home games ? Collingwood doesn't , fed up watching us give up points playing on a suburban/regional town!!!

How do the bulldogs manage to regenerate & bring in new players whilst losing key players to challenge for top 4, So happy for Harmes, yet we kept Hunter & dogs would have been so happy!
