Grape, sometimes it is hard to believe the veracity of some stories & we believe them to be fake. The risk is that we may miss out on the real story by over zealous censorship. Some posters here get good stories early. Those that peddle rubbish are pilloried by others so I believe it is self limiting without the need for censorship.

Bushie, locking this thread will not stop the Jack Watts talk. How many Watts threads have their been? He appears in almost all non related threads as well. The media have shown how capable they are at making stories up and DLand will never stop that. Perhaps we should have a thread called "Lies, Innuendo, Fiction and made up stuff" and fill it with Robbos drunken rantings and Purples malicious gossip. Would anyone know? The moderators may ban the posters for posting cr4p.

Who found the 34 players guilty of drug cheating? Was it the AFL? Could the AFL CEO guarantee no penalties? Could the AFL overrule any penalty applied by CAS? This shows how ill informed the EFC were about ASADA and anti doping rules. They should have known that AFL football was in the bailiwick of ASADA and that ASADA could act independently of the AFL and that the AFL held no sway over ASADA -WADA. They should have known that the world governing anti doping body had the power to get them if they breached the rules. To complain about the AFL breaking their word is more obfuscation from the EFC. The AFL's word is irrelevant as they did not find EFC guilty of drug cheating. No claim is made that they did not cheat. No claim is made that they were innocent. The only conclusion I draw from this is they knew they were guilty but thought the AFL would not ban their players. That is what happened. How with any integrity can they complain about the AFL when the AFL had no say in the outcome? How is it that all records are lost except a recording of a conversation about another conversation, at best hearsay, Little may have been lying to bolster the troops. More smoke from the EFC and its sycophants.

Report Card - Pre Season - Jack Watts Jack has been a naughty boy. We all know Jack is very talented and we all expect a lot from him, he is not like the other boys that don't have Jack's abilities and talent. Jack can run fast in fact faster than almost everyone else at the club - but he doesn't. Jack jump and mark the ball - but doesn't. Jack can read the play - but has lapses. Jack is the best kick at the club - but he has lapses. Jack can compete for the ball - but doesn't Jack should be straight A+ but seems happy with B- We expect Jack to get A's in all areas, he can be a bad influence on the other boys who may tend to think that they can also take it easy. Until Jack lifts his intensity and applies similar effort to the other boys we will hold him back from playing with the others. I think Lucifers hero is on the money. It is far more likely that Jack after a full pre-season has eased up a bit. I think that he did not push himself in the intraclub and that was noticed, raising the ire of the coaches. That is all. If he feels left out, good. I understand not wanting an injury and easing off a bit. The coaches are dealing with many players, few as talented as Watts, he may think he is a special case but in a team environment he needs to be a bit more like Viney, by the way which of them is co-captain? Watts is smart he will work it out and have a great year. No fire here, smoke machine operating.
