Does anyone the stats on our best start to a season? How many did we win in 1965? What year did we win 8 in a row etc?

In the lead up to the big games, i always download the oppositions app to get their interviews etc... might be a harsh critic but our media department can do better.. i know dusty has had more highlights/success... but have a look at the 9 minute video they have for him. It is creative and good media.. we have an article (atm) that goes through year by year on Jones' journey to 300 games. Should be able to turn this into a video i would have thought.

Not sure what the best way to contact club is but we all crave content of our team as supporters and part of being a member is getting access/insight into the team. Not sure if Matt Burgan is on a sabbatical but the content is so down on previous years and even then it’s been sub par. 1m 30 sec videos are not ok from the camp up the coast... who is best to speak to at the club? We rely on Saty for summer training reports and instagram shots. He doesn’t even get paid.

I reckon it’s a good idea. I like Menzel (except for his one eyed nature of scoring goals). Its probably a straight swap for mine. 2 year deal and move on.

While Jon Ralph has reported it, it won’t be enough for Adelaide. hey won’t feel like they got anything for Cameron if they on trade his pick straight away. For them, it’s lever and Cameron for picks 10 and a future first rounder. No steak knives in that for them.

So I have just thought of a theory that I would like some clarity on. Melbourne has been very good over the last 3 years at manufacturing crafty deals. This could be the best of the lot. Jake Lever is out of contract. Therefore if an agreement between Melbourne and Adelaide doesn’t eventuate, he goes into the pre season draft. Strategy: meet with the lions privately and say we will give you a 2nd round pick in the 2018 draft for your number 1 pick in the 2018 pre season draft. (I can’t recall a club ever trading pre season picks?? But surely it’s possible) Tell them it’s an insurance play just in case we can’t agree with Adelaide. Lever walks into our arms for a 2nd rounder. Brisbane is v happy. Thoughts?

Thanks for the update, can you provide a bit more colour on frost? Any other things you saw from training? Are they training with 100% intensity at this stage of the season or more recovery? This would suggest, stretch and Wagner out for watts and salem. Fantastic call.

Does anyone have any insight into this mornings training? I have been stressing all week on how they all will have pulled up. They played hard last Sunday. Jack Watts went to watch Aladdin last night with two girls either side of him drinking beers!!! He must be alright, but no talk of 150th... has he got any of hit mates/family tickets? etc. Is Gawn for Jones most likely? Nibbler is one that plays inside mid at VFL and plays it well. Lots of good half backs and T Mac will spend more time back this week, so Vince can play more mid time as well. Also, amazing news that Josh Kennedy is out! Total bollocks that shuey didn't get a week! If it was any other player at geelong beside Dangerfield, they would have stayed down and he would have copped a week. He ran straight through the ball...Takes you back to the debate about Lewis and Cripps... if he had a tougher jaw it wouldn't have been graded as such hard impact. Going into this game with an open mind... I don't actually mind if we lose because im not expecting us to win. Fascinating to see how we fair over there on a Saturday night. Viney Tyson Neal-Bullen Melksham Bugg Wagner O.McDonald JKH Wagner unlucky. Bottom line with Bugg is he has had 9 shots and a hook out of bounds at goal in 3 weeks. Playing and creating quite well. Odds are in his favour for a few to go straight. Spencer in means T McDonald can go back and pushes brother out. Much stronger and more mature down back now. Really keen to see if Pederson can maintain quality numbers with designated ruckman back. He is playing strong footy. Watts should also benefit. Cannot wait!! Does anyone know how many they are predicting at the ground? Absolute season defining game! If we can win, and Sydney win tonight. You have a full house at Etihad again the week after, 7 v 8... Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but did anyone see Casey play... love a brief update on Frost/Bugg/Kennedy/brayshaw types? Spencer will play, Watts will be a very sore boy early this week. We played exceptionally good footy over the weekend. Wouldn't make any changes besides pencil. Neal-bullen deserves full credit - amazing story. Wasn't in anybody's best 22 and his numbers are elite. Kicking efficiency will come. (Rory Sloane type) Never see weideman on tv, but he must be doing something to create space. O.Mcdonald is improving. Frost still fits. Oliver, Petracca, Hunt and Salem are heading for stardom. Was Viney given the captaincy too soon?
