  1. It's no coincidence Brisbane would probably take what they can get for him; people speak in the industry and it's no coincidence most clubs aren't interested in taking him. It would take a seriously experienced, respected coach to back themselves to turn him around. Ultimately though you can only do so much, and Rockliff is a long way off the beaten track...
  2. I will say that Rockliff goes against everything Roos has instilled re: culture, even if he's a gun midfielder. He's renowned in the industry for being a [censored]. As much as Brisbane has tried to hide it, occasionally you'll see his real persona shine through (the Twitter incident, his comment post-game a year ago that Scott pulled him up on).
  3. All I'll say is: I'll believe it when I see it. This is the same as last year's Luke Parker rumour. Or the Dangerfield/Kennedy rumours the year before. None eventuated.
  4. So maybe he was meeting with GC officials when he was spotted there on Friday?
  5. The black mouse who ran up the electric clock? Tic-toc, tic-toc.
  6. Yeah, I took that away from it as well. He's a lurkin'!
  7. Let's analyze Jobe's Brownlow votes by each year of his career: 2015 7 2014 8 2013 17 2012 30 2011 15 2010 16 2009 10 2008 5 2007 5 So he polled almost twice as many Brownlow votes in the year he is accused of doping than any other year of his career. Of course, I'm sure that's just a stunning coincidence, right Gil? Likewise that his polling plummeted in half two years running once the doping program ceased.
  8. Can someone include me in the PM about Goldy?
  9. Looking at that Saints deal, it's actually almost criminal how one-sided it is. Assuming the Hawks slide to the bottom half of the 8 (which is a fair expectation), they basically get pick 10 next year in exchange for pick 10 this year, plus 23 and 36 for free (to use on trades or in the draft).
  10. That's... an interesting trade. Obviously their 2017 first rounder wasn't enough to satisfy Gold Coast for O'Meara. Not sure who really wins that trade though. Guess the Saints are backing Hawks to drop out of the 8.
  11. Not a word from Melbourne either, interestingly. The only camp commenting is Hawthorn.
  12. And what exactly is the benefit for Lewis here?! "We need you to help us trade in this gun young midfielder by leaving the club and moving your whole family interstate, with a day's notice!"
  13. Gold Coast is a pretty popular holiday destination this time of year. Just saying...
  14. The Hawks know it would be a terrible look to try that after letting Mitchell leave for peanuts; I doubt they'd turn it into a PR nightmare.
  15. I reckon the Hawks will try to shut up shop before the weekend, forcing Lewis to sit on his decision for a few days in the hope he decides to stay at Hawthorn.
  16. Yuck! Imagine hearing that after being told in your end of season review that you were on the table for trade. Starting to see why Lewis has been so aggrieved over the whole situation. Would tell them to shove it after hearing a comment like that.
  17. Seems like damage control from Wright.
  18. Would push for our 4th rounder in a trade, especially after they gave up Mitchell for pick 88. We still need to draft 3 kids this year and I'd like 2 of those 3 picks to be our second & third rounders.
  19. The best thing about this is they can't ask for much currency because apparently he wants out, and they just shipped off Mitchell for a packet of chips.
  20. I'm sure this guy is full of [censored], but if that happens then LOL. Makes sense too -- a replacement for Mitchell, and they now have pick 14 to offer GC (plus players).
