We'll really start seeing the effects of this trade next year when both have games under their belt, and both are in our starting 22. With another trade season, Roos will bring in new players to send M. Jones, Terlich, Bail, Byrnes (OOC?) and Pedo down to the seconds. As for D. Tyson, don't want to get ahead of myself, but I think we may have found the next superstar of the game. This kid will flourish under Roos, and once he perfects his kicking he'll be one of our most important players.

Fell off my chair tonight when Damo Barrett admitted, ON AIR, on FC that he might have been wrong about his criticism of the Kelly/Salem/Tyson deal. Respect due where respect is due.

Viney, Salem, Tyson, JKH. There's the building blocks of a solid core midfield. Throw in Riley and Michie for good measure. Can't wait to see what Roos does with another trade period or two.

Can you imagine how good this kid will be after 50 games? Wow!

A couple of good trade seasons can be the difference between bottom 4 and top 8. We need only look at the brilliant recruitment at Port and emulate their success. The pickups they got over two off seasons have put them where they are now. Getting Polec was icing on the cake.

I had to double take the other day when I saw a few of our new recruits partying it up at Falls Festival in Lorne. Happy to report they looked pretty well behaved, drinking water right before midnight NYE. Was going to ask for a photo but didn't want to be that guy.
