Hi guys, Very premature I know but I have some family up in brissy and was looking to make the trip up to see them if we got through. Does anyone have any knowledge of it will be a Friday or Saturday game? It seems like Pies will have Friday and Brissy Saturday but will give port Vs GWS only 6 day break? Anyone have any knowledge?

From the discussions being had it sounds like the club is going to put him through the 12 days, and if he gets the all clear and he is keen (which is sounds like he is) will be in for the prelim. still early days and relies on us winning but that’s my take from the club media today.

Lisfranc/midfoot sprains can have varying grades of course. The “typical” lisfranc is a full rupture + fracture dislocation which sounds just as bad as it is. This is the one you hear about taking ages to recover as it takes a lots of metalwork to get it all put back together which creates other problems. You can have a mild Lisfranc sprain which is just a sprain of the Lisfranc ligament which is treated more normally as a more severe sprain, making sure that the stability of the foot is there before returning to sport. this is more in the 5-8 week category. Going from Goodwin’s press conference a few weeks ago he let slip his last injury was a Lisfranc this year which took bang on 6 weeks to recover. I can’t remember if this one is the same foot or not? If it is then it might add a few weeks to the recovery but fingers crossed. There are a few other physio on here so feel free to add if you have any other views!

Straight line running is fine if it’s a minor hammy, just no increase in pace

As a physio myself, I know the feeling of this sort of stuff. Sometimes you have a minor niggle that just keeps on keeping on. From the outside a minor hammy like that looks like a standard 3 weeker (which it is for 90%) but for some, every time you try and grade them up in the program they get sore, or can’t get to top speed, or just keep feeling the hamstring at not 100%. I know it’s popular to make something bigger than it is, which is fair enough given Clarry’s importance to our team. But from my view it seems like he lost all fitness from his infection, has rebuilt that which added another couple of weeks, and is perfectly fine for going on a run with friends around the block but still can’t hit that full pace there. It’s also definitely the hardest phase to rehab. fingers crossed for next week!

As someone married to a person of colour, albeit Indian not First Nation. I have forever seen the sacrifice and hardship that she has faced due to her skin colour, religion and overall appearance. This is a current day problem, and not one “in the past”. People of colour go through daily racism and ignorance due to their appearance, culture and beliefs despite their education and intelligence. My partner is a well respected lawyer and an amazing wife and it pains me to see what she goes through on the daily. I cannot begin to understand what these people have been forced to go through. People saying these are alleged accusations, I ask what possible benefit these First Nation people would have gained from making false accusations. This is a part of Australian society, and something that is not new or different for people of colour to face. As Gerard said on AFL 360, it is the stolen generation repeated. People of colour have and will continue to be used for entertainment purposes only. It is time the world takes a stance, and that people of colour, or in reality, non-westernised people, are truly appreciated for the value they bring to society besides their entertainment capacity. I’m sorry if I’m emotional, this is just a topic that speaks so true to me through second hand experience. Bulldogs lost Ryan Griffin - flag West coast lose Judd - Kennedy Hawks lose Buddy - Flag Geelong lose Kelly - look how that's turning out I think if this happens we have to leverage everything we can and get ourselves a star Key Forward... one of Curnow or Mckay? Nick Larkey? and i think if we managed to make this happen then we could come out on top and stil be premiership favourites

The one thing I know about the MFC recruiting team is that we're targeted and strategic. If we're going after Cerra and have the money for him (which we clearly do) then we'll find a way to get him across. Might involve losing a couple of lesser players (Weid, Sparrow etc) but we don't go out on a shooting spree like Norf. If Cerra wants to come to us, we'll find a way.
