Neeld gone (from Essendon)
Mark, a little word of advice... Maybe get a job outside of footy because you have no f$%+ing idea about football. Couldn't coach an u/9's team

Quarters Won
Same story as last year... Pretty sure we were top 4 or 5 for quarters won yet finished 9th. Certainly frustrating, just shows how damaging those quarters we switch off for cost us! Edit: Yep 5th for quarters won last year

I too find it extremely odd to Gorg aswell as draft picks having to "agree to terms" once picked. Didn't Joey Bosa hold out the year he was picked up ? Extraordinary that can happen

Need for Rest
Nankervis shouldered the ruckload all year at Richmond and was fine. Gawn has had a more injury riddled past but he's in super knick fitness wise... These days the players are that closely monitored clubs can see the signs & if they feel a players at risk they'll call it. Lighter training loads etc are ways often non of us know about which gives players a break during the week.

Changes vs Gold Coast
Are people dead set about questioning Viney's return through the VFL ? A) He has not playe any form of game since round 21 last year. Tmac was different he'd done a preseason & atleast played 1 JLT and AFLX. B) The intensity of VFL level can not be even be compared to AFL, litreally different games. Yeah Viney will be going all out but the pace & intensity is nowhere near on the same level as AFL. C) They can manage he's game time, he can play controlled minutes. Maybe 60% ? If he were to play AFL you can't carry a midfielder or any player on that game time. D) Why rush him ? We are playing good footy atm & have the likes of Brayshaw fillling Vineys absence well. We rushed last year and look what happened. Give him controlled game time in the VFL & have him back for Carlton, if he came straight back in & reinjured it I bet these same people calling for him to be in would calling for Misson's head.

Average Home Attendances 2018
It is home game attendance so next 2 weeks wont affect that but your right NT will drop it aswell as Blues in round 9. As the OP said Anzac Eve has inflated it but still encouraging

Jake Lever - Demonland Player of The Year
FFS, the kid just turned 22. Yeah he's first month was disappointing but I don't think people understand how long it takes to work out how your fellow teammates play let alone he's fellow defenders play. People everyday start new jobs & careers and don't walk in from day 1 knowing exactly what's going on, football is no different.. If not harder. If Jake Lever doesn't go down as one of if not the best key position back this clubs had I'll eat my hat... Give him time to settle in, he's still 4-5 years off the prime age for a footballer. I know on GF day in a few years to come who I want at CHB.

GAME DAY
As I said during the week... Not going this week & I litreally go to every game plus 1 interstate trip every year... I can't handle walking out of etihad a loser & have my Sunday ruined. I'll watch on foxtel. f we win I'm happy, if we lose I'm glad I didn't waste my time, effort & money going

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 6
I can't recall the last time I opted not to go to a game. I litreally go to every game in Melbourne without doubt all my football life even through the Neeld years I went every week... But for some reason I don't have any desire or want to go on Sunday, I wish I did but the rubbish they dished up Tuesday night leaves me feeling this way. The style of play is frustrating & boring as hell to watch, I don't know where the run & gun style, quick handball, corridor kicks have gone but they need to rediscover it & quickly... Season on the line stuff & at this stage I'll be watching from the couch.

GAME DAY
I have been waiting for this side to explode the last 18 months. We see quarters here & there, halves here & there but we haven't seen it for a whole 4 quarters. Tonight is the night, I can sense it. Big stage, a lot to prove. We win this & we'll do it by 5-6 goals+ No'one should underestimate the loss of Vlastuin for the tiges, he is a massive out. Dees by 41

Anyone for cricket?
Absolute disgrace... Smith & the rest of the leadership group must be stood down & not played in the next test. Screw the series even if we can potentially draw it in the 4th. Funnily enough I was told from an inside source Renshaw didn't get along with Smith & co and wasn't "one of the boys" maybe they'vetried it on him before & he stood up to them and said no, maybe that's why he was left out pre ashes.

Injury List - Season 2018
The club isn't going to know how Viney or anyone for that matter responds when they ramp up their training... I'm sure 2 weeks ago the aim was round 1 for Viney. He joins in full training & pulls up sore, how can the club know how he'll pull up & respond. Same with TMac, he missed the last JLT with the hope he'll respond with 2 weeks rest & clearly he hasn't & now the best course of action is to be cautious & rest it... They could miss 12+ weeks until they join in training & pull up fine no'one will know

Great stuff @Dappa Dan enjoy it! Very well deserved, who'd have thought when Wentz went down this would be the ending!

Man I do envy you, it was great this time last year! I know the feelings... I was worried, nervous, sick, excited, happy all at the same time. Was an overwhelming feeling when I knew we were going to make it to the SB... Just enjoy it!

NFL
It's a tough one... I'd go the Saints purely because your offense would move the ball eaiser on their D rather than the Vikings
-
NFL
He could have just wrapped him up in a tackle & it would have been over.. They wouldn't of had time to get to the line & clock the ball for a FG attempt. All he litreally had to do was hold him up where he was & the Saints win the ball game

Oh my god... Just when you think you've seen it all in this sport

Jags, wow. Anytime to go into Pittsburgh & win is big but to do it in a playoff game.. Hats off to them. Congrats Clint. I actually think the Jags defense could give the Pats & Brady some trouble. Just shows as others have posted above, all our teams(I think) in this forum have had some recent success as in making the playoffs in the last 2 seasons alone... Would be hard to say the same about the AFL with a group of different supporter bases.

NFL
Yeah in hindsight we are 11-0 when we score 20 & now 0-7 when we don't, so looking back scoring 20 on that eagles defense in those conditions at home would have always been a struggle. Our biggest problem all year has not been able to convert in the redzone so fitting that's how our season ended. That FG on half time hurt, should have been an interception & maybe 3 to us. Also that shovel pass on 2nd & goal on the last drive, wtf was Sarkisian thinking... I'm not too angry about it, I never really thought it was going to be our year

NFL
I can't trust Bortles but if your defense can get some takeaways & points like they did in week 5 against the Steelers than you'd be a huge chance.. Guessing Bell will be a bit factor so nullifying the run and forcing big Ben into throwing will be a bit factor. I'll be cheering the Jags on, good to see different sides contending & us fellow demons need to stick together so some of us can experience some success
